I've always liked Rockport Beach because it is so clean. Really nice place to take a walk and take in the sights.

On the day of our visit it was a little too chilly to truly appreciate, but the waters seem to be tranquil. Also the water seemed clean and a pretty grey blue (even on a cool drizzly day). Seeing the World's Largest Blue Crab was so amusing. It is a statue of course. Hope to return for a visit in... More

The beach and town were dirty--the whole place looked like the worst trailer park in your town...the yards were unkept, the houses were not maintained and the businesses looked run down

Close to most hotels, accessible by everyone. Fee based parking, which is a good thing. Was there during month of June. Traffic was not overcrowded, the beach is long and plenty to enjoy. Locals are friendly, the city provides huge sand tents for some cover. It is a recommended place to visit with your spouse/partner or with the children..

Rockport Beach is a Blue Wave Beach, meaning that it is cleaned and maintained to be a dream! And the SAND will not hurt your feet, it's spectacular. A real item of which to be proud. I hate to rate it so highly, though, because then more people will want to get in on the best-kept secret of the Coastal... More
