Rockport Beach is a Blue Wave Beach, meaning that it is cleaned and maintained to be a dream! And the SAND will not hurt your feet, it's spectacular. A real item of which to be proud. I hate to rate it so highly, though, because then more people will want to get in on the best-kept secret of the Coastal... More

This beach is beautiful and well cared for. Great place for families and early morning solo walks. Lots of covered picnic tables and the beach is clean.

This is Texas's only Blue Wave Beach. Young children are especially fond of it because of the shallowness of the water and no waves to knock them down. Parents love that they can set their lawn chairs right in the water and stay cool while watching the children play.

I like the fact that the beach was jellyfish free and it was not deep water with bad currents. It was close to our B & B too.

My fiance(now husband) and I knew we wanted a beach wedding near Mustang Island (where he proposed) and after searching for budget-friendly options, we found Rockport Beach and its Pavilions! We worked with Kerry at the Navigation District to rent the Saltwater Pavilion (larger pavilion towards the end of the beach, facing Key Allegro) for two nights, for our Welcome... More
