Big bath/changing rooms. Beach was clean. Salt water pool area. There is a fee to get in. $5 per day or $15 per week.

This is Texas's only Blue Wave Beach. Young children are especially fond of it because of the shallowness of the water and no waves to knock them down. Parents love that they can set their lawn chairs right in the water and stay cool while watching the children play.

I like the fact that the beach was jellyfish free and it was not deep water with bad currents. It was close to our B & B too.

My fiance(now husband) and I knew we wanted a beach wedding near Mustang Island (where he proposed) and after searching for budget-friendly options, we found Rockport Beach and its Pavilions! We worked with Kerry at the Navigation District to rent the Saltwater Pavilion (larger pavilion towards the end of the beach, facing Key Allegro) for two nights, for our Welcome... More

Rockport Beach is beautifully maintained and family friendly. There is lots of playground equipment and quite a few covered picnic areas. The beach is small, with gentle surf so it is especially nice for small children.

Rockport beach hurts my feet. It was a nice beach to sit in a chair with shoes on. It is always clean and usually pretty busy throughout the year. I do like Rockport beach. I just wish it was more sand than seashells.

Rockport Beach is super clean and the water is great. We were here in the middle of the week so there was no crowd. At times, it was like we had this wonderful oasis all to ourselves. The park area, the facilities, the picnic areas & cabanas (w/small bbq grills, if you didn't bring one) and the setting are all... More

Nice clean well maintained beach to sun or have a picnic lunch. This was our first time to visit the Rockport beach and we were happy enough to put it on the to-do list for next trip to the coast. There is a five dollar admission to get in but it is well worth it. I walked the waters edge... More

Rockport Beach is excellent! The entire Beach Area is clean and well kept. There's plenty of parking, and people really seem to have a good time playing in the water, watching the birds, feeding the seagulls (watch out for your food - those gulls are quick!), windsurfing, flying kites, cooking out, or just relaxing. If you plan on visiting the... More

There were many picnic tables, nice beach for a gulf town. We were there specifically for birdwatching and had some interesting birds
