Downtown proper isn't too much to look at, although Del's Charcoal Burgers is a must. You can go see what the Chinatown has done to the east side on Greenville. You can go the other way on Belt Line and see the revitalized Richardson Heights shopping center, complete with Alamo Draft House and Half Price Books. I will never get... More

I would never call this a "destination." It's just a conglomeration of dilapidated buildings not worth looking at.

Downtown Richardson appears to have been the forgotten town as business seem to come and go. Not a lot of stability when it comes to retail establishments. The are looks run down and not well kept. Just a couple of blocks away ifs a rejuvenated Chinatown that is flourishing. Suggest you drive these couple of blocks and check out their... More

With cities like Plano, and McKinney creating downtown as a destination, Richardson is way behind. There is a great pizza place and an old downtown bar, but it is slow to change and become a place to hang on the weekend. I feel part of it is the fact that we have , Indian, Italian, Asian, American ethnic places all... More

Not too much to downtown Richardson these days. It was better years ago, but now most businesses have moved on to Plano or Frisco. I dislike the idea of moving away from your own city.

this was a tiny town before being overrun as a suburb. It is a wonderful suburb. well run well governed with great people and businsesses but this is not really much of an attraction.

Downtown Richardson may not have much to offer, although there are scattered throughout the downtown several restaurants, many of which are Chinese. I note from other reviews that the actual downtown may not be all that adventurous. I had reviewed downtown in 2012 thus this is an update I should have made at that time that included pictures. About two... More

Simply an old, neglected trashy area . Only survival is the heavy traffic from 75 toward east of beltline. Actually the whole area stinks and needs to be avoided.

I hope to see the area encouraged by our City Council. Very few businesses survive for long on the two block strip on Main Street.....mostly repair stores, bail bonds, hookah bars, vacuums for sale. However, within the 5 block radius, you have the wonderful: Del's charcobroiled burgers, Indo Pak, Chameli, The Richardson Police Staton and Court, A Firestation, China Town... More

I live here and the photo doesn't look current. The area has been over run by hookah bars in recent years. I hope the city really listened to those of us who attended the redevelopement town hall meetings. Then we might return to the shops and ethnic restaurants with more charm and universal appeal. Til then tourist should head to... More
