Though we had seen whooping cranes in a field while driving in the Aransas Pass/Rockport/Fulton area, the best views are by water. Capn Tommy, the pilot and guide for this tour, is knowledgeable and passionate about birds. Went out on a bay cruise for a rather somber occasion to spread a loved ones ashes on the water. Tommy was able to keep it light and fun, with Jimmy Buffett tunes playing and pointing out some great siteings of birds and dolphins. Rode the Wharf Cat out of Rockport TX to look for Whooping Cranes. The boat was not running right so we only covered about 2/3 rds of the area they normally do.
