At first we were put off by the massive, sports venue-like exterior and American Idol sound stage interior but once the preaching got started and the good Christian folk around us got to witnessing we knew we were in for a real God-centered service. We particularly appreciated the Old Testament sensibilities of the preachers and congregation. No situational or new-age... more

I am appauled and completely amazed by folks who judge this church as one of "showmanship and materialism". If people could look beyond the largeness of the building long enough to become familiar with the heart of the members of Prestonwood, they would find this church to be one that genuinely seeks to spread the gospel to the world. The... more

This is a place where people who aspire to look good on Sunday go to be seen! I attended this "for profit church” but left in total disgust after coming to the conclusion that Jesus would never visit this church in the flesh. These are your typical right-wing conservatives who only accept those who look, act and believe as they... more

Prestonwood Baptist Church is the greatest Church on earth in my opinion. My life has changed because of the Holy Spirit and at Prestonwood he lives there. The message each and every week is about the glory of God and Jesus Christ being our Lord and Savior. I wanted to address a previous reviewer that commented about a political ploy... more

We started going to prestonwood when my daughter started pre-k. That was eight years ago and we have seen nothing but great things happen at this church.Yes, it has its faults but it by no means caters to the rich or puts on a show. Prestonwood uses the money in many ways to help people from all walks of life.... more

I recently joined Prestonwood Baptist Church after visiting for several months. At first, I was scared of the "Prestonworld," mass-produced Christianity attached to the church but was amazed how personal staff members and church members are. I felt like not just a number, but a name, a face, and a unique individual in the family of God. If you are... more

I come from a "small church" that had about 300 members and upon moving to Dallas tried out Prestonwood for about 5 years. I have since switched to a different church with more of a sense of community. Prestonwood does a great job of putting on a show, but its focus is more on catering to the materialism and egotism... more

Visited Prestonwood Baptist 3 times, so far; during my last 2 visits to Dallas area to visit my daughter. Very first time was Mother's Day week-end @ Sunday Worship-11 a.m. I have always worshipped in churches of average membership #200-250, with 150 or so, in attendence. I have to admit that I was abit concerned as to whether I would... more

I visited Prestonwood on the advice of the music minister at my church in Lynn Haven, FL. I mentioned that I would be in Dallas for a training class and would be there the weekend before my class began. I looked up the church on the internet, found out the service time(s) and the directions to the church from downtown... more

If you are visiting Dallas and want to see what a mega-church looks like, by all means visit Prestonwood. It is a pretty incredible spectacle. I used to be an active member there for over 8 years, however there are a number of disconcerting facts about the church you should be weary of. First of all, if you are not... more
