I grew up watching the TV series Dallas, so swinging by Southfork Ranch was a must for me. Unfortunately, the road outside is undergoing construction but you can still get some pretty good views of Southfork. There's a small spot just opposite the ranch where you can stop for a photo op. We didn't have much time but there is... More

Have watched Dallas since a young boy when my parents used to watch it in the late 70s. Am into the new series, and have bought the box set of DVDs to re-watch the original series - all 356 episodes! So having found myself in Dallas, I just had to visit. The road is having construction works right outside the... More

If you're a fan of the show or the reboot on TNT, this place is fun. If not, it's still pretty interesting. You purchase tickets at the Visitor Center for a tour time and are pulled by tractor/tram to the house for a short guided tour. Both the tractor driver and the in house tour guide were very good and... More

You get full range of south fork after the tour. You get to go through the whole house, it's open to the public. It's awesome, a must see & do. Very cool gift shops.

This was our second time seeing Southfork ranch, it's very nice and looks just like it is on the show Dallas. We talked about taking the tour this time but there was a lot of road work in front of the ranch and we couldn't figure out how to get there. Easy to find.

I am no fan of the TV programme but found this tour very enjoyable. The tour guides clearly love the work they do. We were actually on the tour and wandering around a lot longer than I expected. The two gift shops were full of items that were devoted to the TV programme or to the state. Also a few... More

This is the place where the original Ewings lived and fought in opulent splendor...and now they're a newer, hipper crowd with the same name and living in the same grand mansion. The concept of a mansion originated in Ancient Rome, where powerful families and people used the properties for social entertaining as part of their societal moulding role. The Ewings... More

Absolutely loved this place......great memories of Dallas as I practically grew up watching it. If you are a JR fan, this is the place to be. Although the real Bobby's office in Downtown is not that great, skip that and hang out at the ranch. Love the fact they never changed the awnings.....lots of Dallas memorabilia to chose from.
