Absolutely nothing inside the house is from the show so I'm not really sure why they even bother doing a tour inside. The outside is great for photos if you're a fan of the show but it could all do with being freshened up a bit. It has a neglected feel to it. Everything I picked up to look at... More

If you watched Dallas in the 80's and remembered the glitz and glamour - you have to visit this place. It's a lot smaller then it looked on TV, but that's probably because we all live in larger homes and drive bigger cars. It was great to be able to walk around the house, see the pool, stand on the... We have been fans of the "Dallas" TV show since it first began airing in the late '70's. In fact, in the days before VCRs and other recording devices, I remember our staying home on Friday nights so to not miss a single episode! So when I knew I would be passing through the Dallas area on a recent trip,... More

Enjoyed this! They have two nice gift shops, Miss Ellie's deli (if you get hungry) tour includes access to the grounds as well as the main house which is charming! Tour guide we had was excellent. Bring your cameras!

It was so nice to visit the ranch that made the show Dallas. What a neat place! They a little visitor center there on the property that you drive up to and get a tram ride to the house. Inside you get a guide who takes you on the house tour. The guide told us lots of little stories about... More

If you grew up in the 70's and 80's then visiting here is quite symbolic. I can't actually remember that much about the show, but seeing the ranch makes everything come flooding back. I'm not a fan of soap opera's but this place is just a bit of fun, and it's quite amusing how other visitors treat the visit as... More

My sister and I visited with our kids (who were very bored). We stayed at the Southfork Hotel in Plano, and booked the package with the tour. The hotels shuttle shuttled us to the ranch, it was a very short drive. To begin the tour, they take you on a short guided tour. You hop on a little tractor shuttle,... More

What a great way to spend a few hours roaming the grounds of Bobby and JRs old stomping ground!! Entry included tour of the ranch, a look around the museum, gift shops, cafe and a very knowledgeable guide once inside the house. It was nice to find out the history of the ranch, the real owners etc. Once inside you... More

The enrty & exit was very disorganized, but once inside OMG great. We arrived around 3 & stayed till the fireworks ended. The live music was great the food was good. My only other complaint was they ran out of toilet paper in the port-o-potties but hey I'm a country girl made it through it!

I never saw the Dallas TV show but I enjoyed touring Southfork. We were led by an excellent tour guide who was extremely knowledgable. I learned more about JR than I thought I needed to know. The house is beautiful, I loved the craftmanship of the oak wood railings going to the bedrooms upstairs. The views from the windows of... More
