I used to watch the original Dallas on TV and was hooked on the re-boot (until it was axed) so I was always going to enjoy this trip. My travelling companion has never seen an episode of Dallas so that was more of a challenge. No question this experience is better if you are a fan but it turns out... More

After 14 yrs, the real deal is just a shadow of what I thought I knew. I keep forgetting its just television not real life. The house is really 6000 s/f and beautifully decorated. The horses are friendly but the long-horned cattle are not. Our tour guide, Willie, knows everything about "Dallas" and Southfork. For "Dallas" fans, it is worth... More

It was great to finally see where this classic TV show was filmed. I remembered watching it with my mother when I was younger. I was quite fascinated by the ranch style lifestyle because coming from England, I would never see such scenery or lifestyle than that of the Ewings. Not sure whether it was really a lifestyle that people... More

Since I am not a Dallas fan this tour was just alright. My friends with me who watched the show growing up- loved the whole experience. The filming for the original Dallas was done here- but only exterior shots. The inside was redone to look like the show. For me not worth the $14 to see it- my friends probably... More

I liked it but I guess you have to be a DALLAS fan to really enjoy visiting the ranch used in the TV series. Oh no you don't! My daughter never watched it and she thoroughly enjoyed our visit. It was interesting to see the ranch and scenes used around the house. Like the pool, the bedrooms, the gazebo. And... More

Enjoyed the tour. Guide in house was very friendly as were gift shop personnel. Fun to learn more about filming of both TV series.

Staff was knowledgeable of the grounds, the main house, owners history and the characters of both Dallas shows. Note filming of original Dallas was not in the main house only the grounds. Exhibits at entrance of tour were nice.

On the outside you'll see the exact ranch you know from the TV show. The inside is different as the show was filmed elsewhere, in California. Still, it has the air of the Southfork I loved. The tour is guided and they give you informations about both show and ranch. Good stop if you are near.
