The Polar Express at the Texas State Railroad is a must for the whole family. We will definitely make it a holiday tradition.

Took my two grandchildren for this experience. We had booked on the Diamond Class and were not disappointed. The wait is not great, very crowded but is all worthwhile once you get on the train. The young people that entertained us were exceptional. They made it so much fun. They even took pictures for us....So much fun for everyone. We... More

It's been a few years since our last visit and decided to do it again given our great experience last time. We had an equally great time the second visit. There have been some much needed improvements. Mostly the ticket booth was much more organized and much faster than before. The train itself was very clean and just as fun... More

This trip was awesome!!! I have a 13 year old daughter and a 6 year old son. There are not many things that we can do together where they are both satisfied due to their age and gender difference. This trip was great. Both of my children had a very good time and so did I. Looking forward to doing... More

We rode the Polar Express on 12/21 and we booked the 8:10pm one. We arrived a bit early to take everything in. There's honestly not too much to do while you are waiting, but that wasn't a big deal. We rode in diamond class and were one of the lucky ones that managed to get a table. My six year... More

For lovers of the book and/or movie, you won't be disappointed. It was on the high end as far as cost, but we enjoyed our trip. For future visitors, wear layers and bring blankets. It was cold inside and outside. Arrive at least an hour before departure time if you want a seat on the right side of the train to... More

We went on the Polar Express Ride just after the Christmas. Well, after spending$120(2adult & 2kids) , We thought we'll at least see the North Pole Lights...but the North Pole Lights are visible from just one side(If u are going, grab a seat opposite of the train platform) & we got nothing much to see other than people's heads! You'll... More

This was a lot of fun. We went with a 4 year old and a 5 year old. We all had a blast. The clapping and singing really got everyone into the Christmas spirit. Santa signed our Polar Express book and visited with each kiddo. Definitely worth it!! The only thing lacking was the gift shop, don't plan on buying... More

My husband and I took our grandchildren on this trip. I was a little disappointed. We did receive a complimentary cookie (one) and hot chocolate. We did purchase a soft pretzel ($2.00) and bottled water ($2.50). An elderly lady came through and sang a few songs and left. We rode the train with no scenic view. Then Santa and Mrs.... More

My husband and I took our grandchildren on this trip. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Some of the reviews have been critical, but we considered this to be an excursion for the grands. They had a good time. The folks on the train interacted well with the children and they were all enthusiastic and friendly.
