I do not recommend this place for various reasons: *enclosures were dirty *most enclosure sizes weren't suitable for the animals housed in them *seen a number of animals requiring vet attention *no need for the smell to be quite so harsh, which means cleanliness is not a top priority *there were ants everywhere; even on some of the animals *enrichment... more

I can't believe "Dirty Jobs" Mike Rowe would give this place any publicity. It's the most depressing in the U.S. (I've been to Haiti so I can't say in the world). The place is very unkept and filthy. My wife and I had seen the snake farm several times as we passed by on I-35 and decided to stop by on our way back to Dallas. We were so excited and everything seemed cool. I thought the snake farm was great. This place is a great place to get an education about reptiles and alligators. The staff is very profesional. I also think the muscular feamle snake wrangler is gorgous. more

I have a feeling the animals on display were victims of poaching or other irresponsible animal gathering practice. The primates look as if their mothers were shot in the process of their capture. I'd be interested to know where these animals came from. I'm guessing they were purchased. I'll give it a good rating for the scope of the display.... more
