This place was incredibly depressing: dirty, small cages for the animals outside. The animals would pace back and forth, back and forth, in a manic fashion and claw at the bars. The monkeys looked eapecially sad. This place should be closed down for animal cruelety. More

As seen on Dirty Jobs, this place is very interesting. LOTS of snakes, plus alligators, crocodiles, buffalo, cattle--it's more than just a snake farm. Cages and pens adequate and clean, they bring out snakes for you to hold. It's worth the stop. More

When I had the decision to reenlist in the Air Force after 10 years, I knew that I wanted to have the ceremony some where special. The Snake Farm in New Braunfels has been my favorite place in Texas since I first visited three years ago. I thought that it would be a novel idea to have a unique reenlistment... More

I found out about this place after visiting the children's museum in New Braunfels. We go there every couple weeks when Jared does his programs. My kids fell in love with him! Too bad he can't be my personal nanny! haha. Im not a fan of snakes but my kiddos talked me into going to the snake farm zoo yesterday.... More

A very enjoyable and memorable few hours. Our whole family was educated and delighted by this little zoo park. I have never seen so many different snakes in one place. The kids were thrilled! They were able to hold, touch and learn about some reptiles during programs that were given. There was also a petting area for the kids to... More

This place should be top on an animal rights activists list of violators. I am not an activist myself but found the conditions of the outside animals abusive. The snake section smelled so bad that you will not be able to stay in the building for long. Don't waste your money here. More

This small park is ok for an one hour stop with kids as you drive into San Antonio from Austin. It's just past San Marcos. The building has a lot of snakes and reptiles. Young boys would love it. The outdoor area have various smaller animals. Not sure if I would call it exotic. I would not go out of... More

The most interesting thing at the snake farm are the animals but the habitats they live in need improvement. It was neat to be able to get up close with some of the animals but some just didn't seem to have healthy living. More
