Enjoyed the ride around the lake, beautiful views. Great walking path and easy for any age. Restrooms were a little lacking but overall very usable. Rainy day and still enjoyed being there.

Stars glowing in the crystal clear sky. OPEN FIELDS, warm and friendly population. Fabulous and inexpensive food. Lakes so clear that you can see to the bottom Grand location to relax, fish, hike, scuba, shop the outlets and eat the best Mexican ,home cooking and bar-B-Que food.

Love this lake for the beautiful, clear water and considerate boaters. There are some rental services there but mostly need to rely on your own boat and equipment.

If this isn't heaven...I'm sure it's a local call. Sun, water, great people, fishing, boating, scuba diving, picnics and lots of deer.

Had a condo for a week in this area, and there is a great walk across the bridge. Lots of small towns nearby to explore.

We drove here for the day and I would say it's a great idea to relax and enjoy the views. We visited the dam and the lake. The views were spectacular and great for panoramic pictures.

We enjoyed the lake and area very much. It wasn't overcrowded which was a plus since we were desiring a low key, peaceful experience. We stayed at Biscuit Hill that is a couple miles to the lake. So very convenient. While our stay at Biscuit Hill was exceptional, we are going to stay somewhere right on the lake.

What a hoot, it's the actual sign just before the turn of 306 to the dam overlook. I didn't see the PoPo but I wasn't in a hurry or looking for them. There is plenty of parking if you want to take in the paved walk across the dam. Plenty of people were out walking the day we went and... More

We stopped by Overlook Point (at the large dam) on our way back to New Braunfels from Austin. Beautiful lake and a great view. We thought it might be good for swimming but then changed our minds as we didn't find a good place for the kids to get in (rocky, deep, unsure, etc.) I am sure this is a... More
