Nice little town

This is a nice clean area. There are more of the new stores, conviences--CVS Pharmacy, DQ, new hardware store. And old original restaurant with really good food.

If you are looking for beautiful hill country vistas and spectacular water fun, then this is the place to be. Lots of popular water sports Outfitters and attractive campgrounds & lodging available. Unique Hill Country restaurants too. Always a fun and enjoyable experience for the whole family.

it is huge. You kind of need some direction from a local to know where to go. We put in our jet skis there and have also went kayaking in the fall. Beautiful area, busy in the summer with boats.

We always enjoy going to Canyon Lake because of the quiet, and the beautiful view. we enjoy walking on the Dam. and even going to the water's edge.

Being February, we were not going boating but it was in fact a great place to relax and have a picnic. Also if you approach the lake from the South, you can walk across the top of the dam to get a wonderful view of both the lake and the river below.

Only got a small tasted of this Texas gem but it is beautiful. We made a stop to get a geocache and climbed down part of the hill on the east side of the lake near a little cove. It was gorgeous. Great place for hiking.

Its huge and good bass and crappy fishing. No glass bottles on the lake. Constant level lake and a great bar on the waterfront. Fun in the sun

We decided to spend Thanksgiving at Jellystone Park at Canyon Lake, Texas. We wanted to do something different and interesting to our 6 grandkids. They loved it. We had two lodge rooms next to each other with swings, an indoor heated pool, a place for a campfire and tables right across the rooms. The weather was great cool and not... More

My wife & I were looking for some R&R at a resort overlooking Canyon Lake. The lake is still not full, but up much from record lows a couple of years ago during a severe drought. We could see two inlets on the lake from our balcony, as well as numerous deer every day. We also saw both ends, but... More

A popular lake for the San Antonio crowd plus the Winter Texans. But Canyon Lake is becoming a canyon. It's down about 12' or so now and really needs more water. Thus the Guadalupe River normally busy with canoeing and tubing is pretty quiet now due to the low flow.
