We had a wonderful time with family and friends. It was such a fun outing and everyone was great. Take you camera but make sure it's waterproof.

People drinking and carrying on all over. Plenty of music because so many people bring boom boxes. I wouldn't bring kids though.

We were in Austin over Labor Day & wanted a quick excursion to New Braunfels for tubing on the river. It took us 30 minutes from Austin on a mid-Sunday morning. We used an outfitter called Rockin R, which was surprisingly well run & very clean. It was effortless checking in, parking & getting in the river. It cost us... More

We love to visit at least a few times a year. River is great for tubing, snorkeling, or kayaking. We took Tweens and they had a blast jumping from trees and roped into the water.

This was Labor Day week end and looking from above into the river you could just see the river and water as it was wall to wall people. The town was packed including every parking space one could imagine. There are block after block of rental equipment available and if you are into water this might be the place you... More

Being from Colorado we miss the mountians. The scenery here is great and reminds me of home. Trout fishing...innertubing. small town feel at Canyon Lake. Want to get out of the city? Go here.

We visited New Braunfels, with 2 things in mind 1 the water parks, and 2 to float the river. We arrived at the float rental (Rockin R) at about 9:30, and there wasnt any line at all. We unloaded, parked, got our rentals, and was in the water in under 20 min! They were nice, informative, and helpful. The river... More

This was my first visit to the river since I was in college, needless to say, long time ago. Decided to go when it was the first day of school, so the river was empty and quiet. Very relaxing and scenery is awe aspiring. If you have never been and really don't like crowds, try to avoid the high season... More

The Guadalupe River is a real Texas treasure for tubing or just visiting to take in the natural beauty. We have made many trips up and down River Road, just trying to take in all the Guadalupe has to offer. Great place to camp at one of the areas many campgrounds.
