My daughter works here every summer as a lifeguard, so we go a lot. It's a great time. This is one place in Texas you have to go to if you have kids. Moms I promise you will have fun too. more

What can I say, this place is GREAT!!!!! For those that love water, water slides and fun, this is the place for you. We went at the beginning of September so the weather was a little unsettled. Unfortunately, there had been a lot of rain the days prior to our arrival which stirred up the river supplying some of the... more

We recommend staying in the park as you'll be able to take advantage of resting in the coolness of your room while making lunch. At night, everyone gathers on their balconies and cooks out. They offer grills for most of the rooms. They look old on the outside but are decent and updated on the inside. You can actually get... more

We spent 2 days at Schlitterbahn, and it was super fun. If you live close, I'd recommend getting season pass and only doing one day at a time -- 2 days in a row is kind of exhausting. Definitely go to the newer area in the morning -- it's less crowded -- then head over to the older area in... more

I really wanted to like Schlitterbahn. I came knowing about many of the other reviews. I told myself that the Travel Channel picked them as #1. However, my day was awful there, and I want to tell the world to avoid traveling here until you get to know more details. First of all, this is not a top 10 waterpark,... more

Our family lives this place! Our first visit was last summer for two days DURING the week and then we went again this summer and loved it. Our children are 7 and 9. Tips:parking is FREE... Arrive when it opens to get a table, choose one end and leave the other end available for another family. Bring your cooler in... more

Our family of 5 visited this waterpark on Saturday August 15. We arrived at opening time and waited in a very long traffic jam just to park. We should have left then. The park is split up into 3 separate parks - you have to take a tram from one to the other. The busses used to transport you look... more

My husband and I went with our three children ages 5, 15 and 22. We visited the park on August 2, 2009 with high expectations but only left disappointed. Schlitterbahn claim they are the largest but in reality are really just 3 sparate parks located on different streets. The only way to get to the other portions of the park... more

After watching the travel channel with my husband, we saw a show that went through the top water parks in the U.S and Schlitterbahn was rated the largest and was portrayed as one of the best. We booked a hotel and airline tickets 2 months in advance and left from South Carolina on August 10th. We visited the park on... more

We had to go on Saturday and yes it is very crowded. We arrived at 9:15 and left at 4. We went on 4 rides and the raging river and had a 30 minute lunch. At 9:15 the Master Blaster line was 90 minutes long. By the time we were done all the other lines were at least as long... more
