Ok place to stretch your legs. Lady that worked there was rude. Stay in the middle of the path or you'll get yelled at!

We were run off by the fat lady who runs the place what a witch. She is the most rudest host ever. My wife and I are in our 50's and we're treated as we were vandals. Our crime was going past a cone and standing in the dirt.

This is a nice little afternoon outing from Midland. The visitor center staff were very friendly. Their displays were kid friendly but simple.

Even my 5 year old kids thought it was a caliche pit. Maybe it's cooler now that the State pumped money into a building, and burdened us taxpayers with a staff..

Way out in the middle of the oil patch (though not far off I-20) you might not expect to come across a well-presented lesson in space science. With numerous examples of meteorites on display inside the museum-- many of which can be touched and handled -- and helpful information about meteors, the solar system, and the universe, this small museum... If you've seen the Barringer Crater, this is quite a bit smaller. Nevertheless, it's still a meteor crater so that's cool in its self. The elements in Odessa have not been kind to the hole. There is a paved trail that you can walk around and in the crater. There is also a small museum with an enthusiastic lady ready... More

If you are in Odessa and you must do something this would be the place to go! It is a large hole in the ground from a meteor. It is interesting yet educational at the same time! I recommend going!

the museum is ok but the area that they call the meteor crater is nothing but a hole in the ground that looks like any hole you could dig with a back hoe dont waste your time

We definitely had a different picture in our heads of what this "crater " would look like. I was a little disappointed. My kids and husband were too. It just wasn't what we expected. I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to see it. But stop by if your in the area and check it out!

Okay, we were on a business trip and were looking for something to do after our last meeting so we took a ride. After miles and miles of pump jacks and supply shops, the scenery starts to change a little. We arrived just as the museum closed but we got to walk around and see the crater. Most of it... More
