Just home from a week in Playa Del Ingles with the boyfriend. Read about the Kasbah and Yumbo centre in a guide book and they were described as shopping centres. Certainly not the kind of shopping centres I'm used to! Overall just run down, tacky, selling naff holiday souvenirs/goods and knock off goods... PR people just harass you at the... More

I have read earlier that this was a shopping mekka. Maybe it once was, but now I found this completely uninteresting. Some kebabshops and closed shop of other kinds was what I found when I visited Kasbah one afternoon. A vaste of time.

My wife and I had a week in Playa Del Ingles and I had four steak meals in that week. One of them was in the restaurant next to the Irish Tavern. This was the worst by far. I could only eat half of the steak as it was full of tough gristle and was inedible. I told the waiter... More

This is a very un exciting shopping and eating venue. You have to try everything once, as all views are subjective. If however you are short of time then this is the one to avoid.

This place is safer during the day, but there's nothing to do here. Like other shopping centres, the shops all peddle identical overpriced counterfeit rubbish (playa del ingles is not the place for shopping). At night this turns into a whole new beast. It's full of venue and restaurant touts, people selling utter rubbish novelty items (like a fireworks night... More
