Good bars, restaurants, and some good shops. Give yourself at least 4 or 5 hours.

We visited this place 4 or 5 times during our week long stay at Maspalomas. Its a 5 min drive and 4 Euros from the Tabiaba Princess hotel. There are a wide range of shops, some tacky, some good, and some excellent. Be prepared to haggle, and haggle hard for your goods when shopping. It is expected. Shop owners will... More

Yumbo has a bit of everything to cater for a local entertaining stay in Maspalonas/Playa del Ingles. You can eat there from morning til late a night, a wide range of options available. Shopping is mostly tourist related with the odd trendy store. At night the centre comes more alive with a wide range of bars and nightclubs catering to... More

Yumbo Centrum: Shops/stalls: Warning, while we were walking around you will be pestered by stalls and a few store owners, and it's as bad as being in Marrakech for those of you who have been. But the warning is if you refuse to buy or go into the stores, then walk away with someone keeping an eye on those stalls... More

I have been travelling to Playa for years and spent many a day and evening in the Jumbo centre, yes there are plenty of shops trying to get your attention but a simple no thank you is enough for them to leave you alone and I have never had a problem The evenings are aimed more towards the gay community... By day the Yumbo is a reasonably quite shopping centre with cafes and small shops lots of room to wander about , with places to sit in the sun .But a night it turns into a hustle and bustle Bangkok /Soho metropolis with a mixture of smart cocktail bars to sexcinemas the centre is very popular with gay tourist and... The Yumbo was a bit tired when I visited it for the first time 16 years ago and it's hasn't gotten any better since then. It's busy due to its size and the sheer amount of gay venues open at night. It's a bit of a concrete jungle and really could do with facelift. There are some decent restaurants there... More

Loved it spent most evenings on here, plenty of places to eat and shop but found if I walked around with a burger king drink you don't get pestered by the restaurants as we ate before arriving most nights.

A shopping center which really offers nothing you can't find at home. Pretty filthy and run down place. Small shops with basic stuff, except if you are looking for knock offs, then this is the place for you. A lot of Restaurants, but we had no intention St eating there. Neither should you...

Holiday stay 25th January – 1st February Our Thomas cook rep told us to go to a centre called Yumbo (they don't have strips around the area just 3-4 story shopping areas with clubs and bars) which I personally found very grubby, a lot of Chinese stalls selling fake bags, shoes and clothes and people trying to pull you into... Not sure if I came to the wrong Yumbo centre where other people leave great reviews but half of the shops were shut, the remainder were tacky crap and I got ripped off by some conman! It wasn't clean, paint was falling off the walls, the entrance in which we walked into the Yumbo was awful! It stank of urine... More
