When I went to see this place it was well over 15years ago . At the time we were told it was built to commemorate 500 years of Columbus discovery of the Americas. At that time the excitement welled inside me as I had two for the price of one . This beautiful castle awaited us . At the entrance... More

A fantastic place, a hidden gem well worth taking the time to visit. Use the lift at the centre of Belmadena Pueblo, can be seen from the top of the park, easy to walk down to. Closed at lunch time, very welcoming and only 2€. A must see for all ages.

Its basically a tribute folly to Christopher Columbus. The Buildings are made of stone in the shape of sailing ships. There is a lot of art work within the stone thats worth closer inspection. The enterance fee was 2 Euros (2014) and is worth paying to see the folly and its gardens. The views over the Costa del sol are... More

Nice place to make photos. The only problem when you come by foot-bad road. You are coming up and down all the time. But when you ' ll come inside, you forget about road. Beautiful place.

When we lived in this area we were shown round by the chap who, with a little help, actually built it with his own hands. It is not large but has excellent views over the coast. It is well worth a visit as there is nothing else like it in the world.

Knew nothing about this place and our taxi driver dropped us off on the way to the "old village" - it was quite sweet to wander round but although made to feel "old" it was much too modern to really hold any attraction for us - just felt it was a very odd little place. Entry cheap - but then... More

Really worth a visit, the detail is amazing and at 2 Euros an adult it's well worth it, especially on a cloudy day.

Lovely place and worth a visit however as mentioned there is not so much real historic value but still fascinating project & tribute to the Columbus and his three ships. Also the views from the place are quite nice.

Hi Guys, as with all my reviews I try to honest, unbiased and base all my reviews on my own personal observations, so you can then make up your own minds. We stumbled across this "monument" whilst out on a walk after visiting the Buddhist Temple and Butterfly park, and from a distance it does look like a fairy tale... More
