Not top of the "to do" lists and not always what the "beach baby's" want to go and see, but if you have time and you are visiting the Buddhist Stupa, take the extra time to see the butterflies. Won't take long, but a good distraction from usual tourist stuff. We had free entry tickets from the hop on/hop off... More

I last visited the centre 2 years ago as I love butterflies and was pleasantly surprised that there has been a number of new additions of the lizard family and a wallaby in the centre which was great for photo shoots. However although the experience is magical, it can be somewhat costly for families, and there appears to remain no... More

What a fantastic experience, it was like what you would expect of the garden of eden. So many species to look at and information to many of them was on display. There was a very interesting talk given before we wandered off on our own. There were some beautiful birds, and a joey hopping about without a care in the... More

This was a good short visit when it was raining. The butterflies were pretty but it did cost us around 16 euros for not very much.

Well worth a visit, a quite magical place. A little bit of tropical mangrove swamp on a hill above Benalmadna Costa. Loads of brightly coloured butterfly's and moths flitting through the air and sometimes landing quite unexpectedly on your head or hand. I really enjoyed my visit.

What to do when the Costa del Sol becomes the Costa de la Lluvia (rain)? Well, in Benalmádena Pueblo, the part of the town that is half-way up the local mountain, there is a mariposario or butterfly park. From the expressions and squeals of delight from the various children I observed, your wee ones are almost certain to enjoy themselves.... More

I had never been to a butterfly park so was very keen to go. I agree that the lone wallaby looks scared and in my opinion should be rehomed, and the large iguana lurking on the deck frightened the life out of me. That said I thoroughly enjoyed it. An hour is enough and whilst it is small take the... More

This place is a bit out of the way and not very big when you get there, but it was interesting and informative, but I thought it was a bit pricey for what it is. As well as butterflies it has fish, birds and reptiles.
