Is a magnificent Gold Temple which you can see for miles around I must admit that I did not think that there was enough in it to interest me but the views across Benalmadena are fantastic.

Having not full researched Benalmadena before our holiday, we were surprised to see a Buddhist Stupa in the old town area. Definitely worth a visit - and you can go and visit the butterflies next door when you have finished. Importantly, it is free of charge. Small "temple" with not a lot on display. You should have the contents explained... More

I have popped past the temple on many occasions and was not aware it was open to the public, what a lovely surprise therefore to climb the steps and to be welcomed into such a peaceful sanctuary. The aroma of the incense and the calmness was amazing. No problems re taking photos, and the small charge to visit the small... More

Being in a wheelchair it was impossible to access the temple due to all the steps (after walking around and around we never saw a disabled entrance, if there was one it was not well signposted) It was such a shame I never got to see inside as from the outside it was a very impressive building. My hubby did... More

It was a nice temple and we paid 2 euros to go downstairs as we didn't know what was down there but it's just a small room with some Tibetan items. After paying the 2 euros, we were then allowed to take pictures but the temple does rely on donations.

Could see this from balcony and wondered what it was. Stopped at it on the way to Benalmedina Pueblo. It is a monument to Buddism but not really a temple. The walls inside depict life of 9000 years. There was a man who was in charge of it who explained what the Buddism is about,.

A place of underlying spirituality, where one can meditate and spend a refreshing time away from the hustle and bustle of the costas.

This is brilliant. Its free and situated next to the butterfly park. The guide inside is patient and knowledgable. Its totally free, altho you can buy little gifts. The only drawback is the steps, but I was told there is a lift from outside around the back. The views from outside are breath-taking. All over the bay of Fuengirola and... More

The temple was quite small but interesting, there is an exhibition downstairs which was quite informative. The temple is built on a hill top above Benalmadena Pueblo so the views are astounding, make sure you go on a clear day. The temple is next to the butterfly park so make sure they're both open when you visit. You can either... More
