Definitely worth the walk...the views from Capo d'Orso are some of the best we saw of northern Sardinia - fortunately we had sensational weather. Definitely worth the time if you are in/around Palau.

I's a bit of a climb but it's absolutely worth it. The rock is very impressive and the view at the top is truly marvelous.

Great views from the top though you can not see the shape from there (saw the shape whilst on a boat trip to the islands of Maddalena) We went on a VERY windy day......a tad exciting or scary, depending on your viewpoint!

Vantage point across the bay with leaflet explaining history. Cost 2 euros to enter walk to top. 2 euros for car park.

By car, around a 5-10 minute drive from Palau. Walking may take a while as it's all uphill, so transport is recommended. Gorgeous views, definitely something worth visiting and you'll get some lovely photos & views of Palau, Porto Raphael & Madalena.

A hot climb along easy tracks to this incredible landmark are worth the trip. A bizarre bear-shaped giant rock guards the entrance to the bay and is visible from the sea for miles away, seen clearly from the approaches to the Maddalene Islands. Other rocks took form in our fanciful minds as dinosaurs, hares and crab claws. Brilliant.

Amazing what Mother Nature can create, we just drove by to take a photo but there is a tour that you can take to walk to the top it will cost you about 2 Euros or you can get a package deal for 5 that will give you access to the museum & the Fort.

Stumbled across this attraction by accident. The bear rock is a landmark but you can only see the actual shape of the bear from the sea side. Still a nice climb with a wonderful view at the top.

the capo d´orso was an absolute hotspot on our tour along the snobby costa esmeralda. an easy walkable path brought us up to this spectacular rock formation, which has the look like a bear. because we went there in low season only a few tourists were around and it was possilble to enjoy the breathtaking views over the beautiful area...
