Worth walking up to. Lovely local restaurant with great homemade dishes just at the base of the bear.

This was close to where we were staying so walked up. As before you do not get good all round view of the bear but get good views of surrounding areas. We were trying to wait to see the sun set but had to leave earlier. It is worth a trip if not too far away.

The rock can not be seen as a hole, you will not be able to recognize the rock is shaped like a Bear. However the view from the rock over the bay is great. The walk to the top is very hot at noon om a summer day.

First, you pay € 2,- for parking your car. Then you pay € 2,- for the entrance. Then you have to climb many steps to this strangely formed rock. And once you are there, gues what you see: just a rock and nothing like the bear like shaped rock, which you may see from the sea (or better ferry boat)... More

Firstly as others have said you do not get the full vista of the bear when you're this close. You need to take a photograph from the roads leading to the rock. We came from the south and got a lovely view on the way. There is a parking fee of €2 and an entrance fee of €2 per person... More

It was very cool to see the rock up close. There is a short climb from the parking lot up to the viewing spots- it isn't too bad but the day we went is was very hot so you may want to take water. The view from the top is unmatched anywhere in the area- out over the entire archipelago.... More

The rock and the view are nice. We did not find the walk is as hard, steep or hot as announced. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Do not expect to see the bear-shaped rock, because it is too big and you couldn't see the big picture standing next to it. But if you are near there, visit this rock, as there opens very nice view when you are on top.

Only in New Zealand we had the same experience! What a fantastic panorama of the archipelago! The islands in the sun together with the deep blue sea.
