Interesting work of nature

The rock really looks like a bear. There are some minutes of walk from the parking to the rock. But when you arrive it is a huge rock and you can walk around and under it.

At the very north of Sardinia near Porto Cervo at Capo d’Orso, is a huge bear shaped rock.It is a massive block of granite, eroded by the wind over centuriesThere is a path which takes you to the top of the rocky hill where the bear stands.Sardinia is a rugged, windswept, rocky island off the coast of Italy. The rock formations are incredible.Millions... Worth the visit, 2 euros to park and 1 euro each to go up to top. Opens at 9am. You get a lovely colour brochure about the area of Palau.

Very nice view on the surroundings. Make sure you go when it is absolutely blue sky otherwise you may not see some islands

Really good value and well worth the fee. There's a short but steep-ish climb to the top. We went in the evening which was a nice time of day to go, I imagine it probably gets crowded during peak season and the daytime. Stunning views across the Maddalena archipelago and unusaal granite formations from wind erosion.

This is a chance to get close to a fantastic example of erosion at its best. The formations are fascinating and the views literally breathtaking, due to the high winds during our visit. There is also a little history thrown in as the viewing tower at the top was originally part of a military installation. However, I found that I... More

Incredible granite formations, masterfully carved by the wind! The prescribed path to the top takes about 15 min. Impressive view from the top of Palau, Isola Maddalena, Isola Caprera... Be prepared for some intense wind and marvellous rock shapes, that are hard to resist to climb on to... Definitely worth a visit!!!
