There were some good examples of early French models, some of which go back to the beginning of motoring. The French friend I went with enjoyed it much more as he is something of an expert on cars. However, I expected to see at couple of beautiful old Jags, MGs, or a Rolls or Bentley or two but these were... More

The variety of of old cars and some more recent is great, but then anything with an engine and wheels and I'm there. these places have a smell about them. free parking just off the main Sables road before the speed camera.

The whole history (almost) of the" motor car". Exhibits from 1880 onwards, in an excellent state of repair; many still able to take to the road, and plenty have won trophies. From the spectacular to the everyday, embellished by the presence of models in period costume. You can also follow mechanical progress. And there are other items on show, that... More

It was a bit expensive at 11 euros each, but once inside it was a wonderland of cars. It only took us an hour to look at everything, but if you are interested in cars then you might take a longer look.

One warehouse full of cars. Large proportion are Renaults/Citroens etc as expected. Didn't seem to be any order to the layout. Would have liked more information on the cars history rather than just on engine details which were given in both French and English

A small museum but with plenty of cars, some very rare cars as well. Only took us around an hour to walk around but the entry fee was very reasonable. Wasn't a lot to keep the kids occupied so an hour was probably about right.

Nice collection of mostly french cars, lots of very rare cars. One family owned museum since 1967, good workshop, very nice and helpful enthusiastic staff, beautiful renovated and original patina cars. Also contemporary rare prototypes and historic race cars. Wothy to see not only for oldtimer fans, nice exhibition with automobilia items. I would like come again. http://www.musee-auto-vendee.com/ http://freeride.rajce.idnes.cz/Musee_Automobile_de_Vendee/
