This was a fantastic day- do the morning session. This begins with a guided tour through the local markets with information about local produce and lots of hints and tips. The cooking class was hands on, everyone had the opportunity to prepare the foods and to cook the dishes. After preparing the foods , the opportunity to sit down and... More

I attended this week. Loved market tour. Class well organised, spotlessly clean with lots of time for question. I would go again and highly recommend nothing too difficult and very helpful staff there to assist without making you feel dumb. If paying in USA take new notes made after 2000.

We were picked up on time and met another lovely couple on the way. Our guide was very informative and entertaining at the markets. The interaction with staff and other guests during the cooking school was great. Learned lots of new techniques and came away with recipes and a passion for Balinese cooking. A great couples experience! Recommend booking online.

I participated in this class last week and found it simply brilliant. Starting off with a tour through the local market, explaining the culinary and nutritional values of all ingredients used in the workshop. The class teaches some basic techniques and more advanced, all skill levels catered for. It is extremely well organised with each small group assisted by an... More

This was a fantastic way to spend the morning. Picked up at our hotel at 7am, headed to the markets for some traditional shopping and look through all the spices, herb, meats etc. Everything was explained to us and we got to smell and handle the produce, think lemon grass, ginger, etc. Back to Anika where there is a beautiful... Attended here in June with a friend. Had a visit to the local market - an eye opener for anyone who has never visited a local Asian market before. It was nice to have explained what the ingredients were and what equivalent we could use at home. The cooking school itself was clean and open. There were only 8 or... More

I wasn't sure what to expect. Wow this cooking class is once in a lifetime experience. Starting at the markets to learn about all the fresh food and spices you will be using then to the cooking class. We learned chopping techniques, flavor combinations, mains, desserts and all so yum. The chef was excellent and modified the class to suit... More
