We had rented a property across the street and were lucky to have this beautiful beach nearby. Loved every minute we could be there!

Very, very good beach. Calm waters all around. Could see the bottom of the ocean floor. Has some amenities there such as a bathroom and bus port is close by. can walk out about fifty feet and still be only chest high in water.

Great beach with little to no waves. Not very crowded. There is a playground for small children. A small parking area but also easily accessible from the bus. Good snorkeling if you have your own gear.

We came here for a few hours. It's a nice beach with a park right next-door. The beach had a lot of seaweed and trash on it. Maybe it was brought in due to the presence of wind. This beach could do with a shower and working public, toilets. We will come back and give it another go.

This is a great beach for kids. It has a playground and at low tide its a perfect wading spot for children as you can walk out so far! The beach needs a little tidy up though as its a bit overgrown and rundown. Regular maintenance would make this spot outstanding!

This would have been a beautiful beach if it weren't for the trash on the shore. The beach itself has a little too much rock and seaweed for my taste. But a few feet in the water, the sand is soft and the water is clear shallow and calm.

The water was nice and the beach was not crowded at all, but it wasn't very clean. There was a lot of glass on the beach, but not just sea glass. Like actual broken glass that could cut you while walking barefoot. It was right next to the railway trail, which was nice to walk, but not a whole lot... More

Shelly Bay is a great place to go with small children. You can put your beach blanket down under the palm trees for shade and explore the shallow water and beach on one side and the playground on the other side. We have been many time with our 3 and 5 year old and spent all day there. It doesn't... More

Shelly Bay has calmer water for kids and elderly. There is also a playground area for children looking for activities other than the water.
