If you're tired and want to go back down as soon as possible, or if you've spent all your money on churches etc on the way up and you don't think you'll be able to afford the entrance ticket, you can still enjoy a tremendous view over the plain from a special viewing point outside the castle walls. If you... More

We loved this castle with so much history and the great views of the town of Trujillo and surrounding areas. This place acquires a kind of magical glow while the Sun orange rays start retracting to the incoming night.

The castle itself is in pretty good condition and worth going in to look around, but the main highlight for me is walking up there from the Plaza Mayor through the old streets and the view from the top over the surrounding plains is great.

Very cheap to get in: 1.40 euros per person. It is beautiful and has a great view of the city and the countryside. keep a close eye on your kids, there are no barriers but this makes it quite authentic!

An ancient castle on a hill, go there and see it! Don't know what else to say really but there are cisterns and panoramic views of the countryside.

Driving into this beautiful village sure was a feast for the eyes. It's massive castle perched high upon the ridge and the old town wall was something to behold. Later when I walked around the entire area, the camera ran out of batteries. It was so beautiful, as was the weather, I couldn't have asked for more. It was also... More

The village of Trujillo is built on hills and the streets lead to the main square, where a statue of Pizzaro stands on the right side, in front of a church. Taking one of the small roads up, you end up at the castle walls and the 1.5 euro entry fee is worth paying to be able to climb the... More

Don't miss entering the castle. It is enormous and towers above the town and surrounding area. You can walk on top of the walls for stunning views. The construction is intriguing.

It is pretty much just the old walls (which are very interesting) and a little chapel - but you can walk all around on top of the walls and look outs which provide really great look outs over the town and countryside. Very cool!

Trujillo is a very nice place especially it's castle with terrific views. Defiantly worth it when you like the silence and old towns. A Historic place.
