Even though my children are teenagers now they still ask for a vist to the zoo once a year. There is a great variety of animals in well kept enclosures. The best time to visit is in the late afternoon of an not too hot week day. This is good for many reasons. It is not crowded , the animals... More

This is the second time we visited and especially for the kids was a perfect day out . There is a large variety of animals, in well tended and suitable spaces. It is natural that some were sleeping so not really so easy to watch. Many birds and small section for reptiles. The ticket prices are rather high, even taking the... More

I have to say that is the only zoo in Greece of that kind, so ..but it is really beautiful, clean, a lot of animals and birds.Ideal for families with kids giving entairtainment and education. Beautiful walk outside of Athens, near Mc Arthur Glenn.

Ait is a great park with quite many attractions and many animals to see! The facilities are also quite good with food, coffee and toilets. It is a bit expensive but the number of attractions and animals are worth it.

I happen to come across the mention of the Zoo before my trip to Athens. I love Zoos and wanted to make sure we had a chance to go see it. We rode a few buses to get to the Zoo from Athens but it was well worth it. From up close encounters with Lemurs to The dolphin show. the... More

Kids under 10, never been to a zoo, love animals so it seemed the ideal place to visit. 60 euros for the 4 of us with tickets to see the dolphins. Got there early so not too busy. Great selection of animals, everything clean & tidy. Great facilities - food, coffee & toilets. Staff very helpful & not at all... More

I am a former neighbor of the park and have seen it's transformation. I must say from all the animal parks and zoos I have been in, this was the most attractive one for a simple reason: Animals seemed the happiest (that they can be in a closed environment). All animals are strong, fit and active, not like the usual... More

There may not be too much to do in Athens for children - unless they are into culture. Great to find this zoo on internet (not mentioned in guide book). Bit of a trek from Athens - metro to Doukissis Plakentias then bus 319 (using Athens transport day ticket) - we had to wait 25 minutes for bus. Get off... More
