This was my first visit to McKinney's square and I could have spent all day there. Whenever our travels take us back, we will stay at the Grand Hotel and dine at Rick's Chophouse and Harvest Seasonal Kitchen. And, shop, shop, shop.

I have been to downtown McKinney several times on business trips. McKinney has a charming historic downtown with a strong sense of community. McKinney is located just 30 miles north of downtown Dallas. Some of the restaurants at McKinney Main Street include: Aparicio's Restaurante Mexicano & Sports Bar, Caf‚ Malaga, Cadillac Pizza Pub, El Juarez, Herby's Soda Fountain, Coffee N... More

My daughter lives in McKinney and we love to go downtown to browse the shops and eat dinner. Clean, safe environment.

The variety and quality of the shops is wonderful. There was street music, entertainment and outdoor seating for restaurants. I wish I had more time, but you could make a full day of it, if not more. Notice the tall curbs: the town used to have horse-drawn carriages and the curbs remain while the horses don't.

I think Money Magazine has it right naming McKinney the 2014 #1 best place to live in the country. Enjoy the great shops filled with lots of unique stuff. Outstanding eateries. A great coffee place. While you're in McKinney don't miss a stroll around Chestnut Square. If you plan it right, you'll be able to tour the buildings at Chestnut... More

Spend a fun day in this downtown with family who lived there. Octoberfest was in full swing and we explored almost every shop there. McKinney is a great town with lots to offer!

McKinney Main Street and Square offer varied shops. Most of the people working greeted us with a warm hello. Even though we were just browsing and did not buy anything, they all thanked us for coming in. This is great way to spend some time visiting charming shops that are well-stocked and fun to visit.

Upscale Mexican food just North of the square next to French place. Delicious tacos! Loved the decor, very friendly, yummy appetizers, wonderful margaritas. Good prices and A/C was wonderful on a hot Texas summer day.

This has to be one of the best town squares in terms of quality shops and restaurants to choose from in Texas. Have had several delicious meals on the square and there are still lots of other highly rated restaurants to try. Lots of great shopping with some really unique items - many one of a kind. Love the Mom... More

Spent the afternoon here when visiting family. We had a lovely afternoon walking and shopping. Had an excellent lunch and bought a few gifts. Not much else to do so recommend if you're a shopper or want a relaxing walk.
