Very nicely laid out with several computers offering internet access. No charge for locals as long as you have a local address, even though it may be in a RV park where you are a seasonal resident.

More than a library, this huge facility also has private study areas, meeting rooms and an auditorium for non-profits to rent at a moderate price.

Very nice library. What I found insulting was the how rude the younger generation is to the older generation when they are trying to learn the computer. Folks don't leave the computer and expect to get it back or cuss out the elderly who got on it. The staff is helpful and there are nice exhibits going on yearly.

Great public library, with a coffee shop, and Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings! Library has events and summer stuff going on. Cool place to check out on Hot Valley days when you wanna read and stay indoors but not be home.

Everytime i go into this vault of literature, computers and movies I am impressed. If you are not from McAllen, take an ID to prove who you are so you can check things out.

This library was originally an older Wal-Mart that was remodeled as a Library. Having been in the field of Architecture most of my working life, I appreciate remodeling a well built useful structure and continuing to use the facility for another life. Who ever redesigned this facility as a library did a remarkable job. Not only is it beautifully done... More
