I watch it grow from an old Walmart to an ultra-modern library and it is fantastic. Over 64,000 people go there a month. A fabulous children's section, many study rooms, great selection of books, a whole teen section plus an auditorium and lovely meeting rooms. We're up to date in McAllen, Texas, with this terrific library.

This is an amazing library! Very friendly, helpful, and efficient staff. As visitors to McAllen, we found it while looking for the Saturday morning Farmers Market held there. Read where it's the largest single floor library in the country. We also visited the Palmview branch to use their WiFi and were met by more helpful staff.

Areas are separated: kids area with their own computers, kids library, adult library and computers, and so on. This new library has helped lots of students including community service. Building is new and has a wide variety to choose from according to your needs. During summer they provide free lunch meals for children to those in need.

This place has poor service, but a very beautiful modern atmosphere. There is a big section for kids, and even small hiking trails. They don't carry the books that I look for all the time.

Had a two day business meeting utilizing a conference room. No complaints. Great Library. Loved the Café available. Wi-Fi was great. There tech set up was top notch.

This former Wal-Mart received a face lift some 4 years ago, converting it into an inviting space for just about anything, except making noise. Plenty of private meeting rooms, wi-fi all around, decent movie collection for those not yet on Netflix. In the winter months it bustles with the snowbirds from up North, giving locals a chance to engage in... More

This library was featured as the largest one story library in the United States and it's design is very chic. It's spacious and lovely. It has a large computer area. I recommend the children's library, it's fun!

Very nicely laid out with several computers offering internet access. No charge for locals as long as you have a local address, even though it may be in a RV park where you are a seasonal resident.
