As many have said, this lake is really the Colorado River which is used to create the Highland Lake region of Texas. Like Town Lake in Austin, this lake is created by using dams to make the water back up and create the lake effect. With that out of the way, many of the hotels in Marble Falls use the... More

I really like this lake. It's rarely busy with people. Rent a boat, some water skis, a wakeboard and a water tube and you are set for a great day. Watch the sun go down and get some incredible pictures. My wife and I took our engagement pictures here in the middle of the lake.

Lots of quiet if you want to find a small cove, beautiful setting, plenty of restaurants, hotels and shops.

Lakes are beautiful. Also Lake Marble Falls, but not something specially. Lake Marble Falls is Colorado River, where the river pass the city Marble Falls. We had the view from east to west.

Lake Marble Falls is the Colorado River with a dam on either end. Seems kind of silly to call it a lake but it make our hotel sunset view very pretty.

Great Lake to have a picnic by and enjoy the sunset at night. I hate that there was no parking near the lake. It would much more of a convenience if they did have parking near the lake.

There are so many lakes in the area. I would rather be on one to play on. Its nice to look at from the hotels above it. Buchanan is by far my favorite.

Gotta get to Marble Falls before January to walk through the lakeside christmas display!! There are thousands of lights and also lit up characters with a very safe walking path that starts at 6pm with great pictures to be taken with Santa. No dogs are allowed so leave the pooch at home. Hot chocolate is served through the walkway. Admission... More

Beautiful Hotel and very well kept, immaculate. Over looks Lake Marble Falls and the Christmas lights across the lake. I wish LaQuinta had more of their Hotels like this one. The Days of unruly pets are a thing of the past as well. We travel quite extensively and LaQuinta has been our choice of Hotels along the way for our... More

The light show is very neat to see. We came the night before Thanksgiving, and it was a good time. They accept donations at the entrance, so we gave a few dollars. We spent about 30 minutes walking through and it was fun! There are quite a few picture opportunities as well. Half way through, you can stop and get... More
