I judge wineries not just on the wine they serve, but the atmosphere, the staff, and the gift shop. This place excels in all 3. This is much more of a commercial winery than what we have in central Texas, but the wines are all at a good price and taste good. From low end sweet wines to excellent high... More

We have a little place in fine vineyard country in the south of France, so we could decline the wine-making tour and concentrate on tasting. We were most impressed and bought eight bottles to take back to London to introduce friends to the quality of Texan wines. It was particularly the Club reds (Petit Verdot, Merlot and Viviano) that stunned... More

We had a few hours to kill on a Friday afternoon. We had never taken a tour of the local wineries, so we decided to just head south of Lubbock for a few miles and visit Llano Estacado for a free tasting and tour. Good call! At around 3PM there was only a few couples in the tasting room, but... More

We enjoyed touring the winery and learning how things were made. The wine tasting at the end was amazing. Best wines!

Friendly and knowledge staff. The tour included an exhibit of how the barrels are made, storage facility, bottling and chemist room. There many types of wines to chose from for the 5 samples to taste.Best of all the tour and tasting were complimentary. Several of the wines are labeled to support Texas Tech. Worth the stop for this Red Raider... More

My husband and I were on our way home from Lubbock and decided to stop at the Llano winery. It had been several years since we'd been there, but I've enjoyed their wines for a long time. It was wonderful being able to taste some of their wines that I'm not able to find at the store. Even my husband,... More

My husband and I stopped here on our way up to Canyon, TX. We had a lovely tour and enjoyed seeing the chemist's room and the vats and barrels. The tasting was the best part - as to be expected. The young man who led our tour was a great help with details and suggestions and we will be back... More

We recently moved closeby and decided to check this place out. The outside isn't very pretty/impressive, but it's worth the trip. The tour is nice and informative. The tasting is complementary; they let you taste 5 generous samples of any of their wines. The wines themselves are moderately priced ($10-$35). The staff is all very friendly! Also, they have a... We had a half hour to burn and stoppedhere to do a tasting. We did not do a full tour but it was still worth it. The wines are very good and the staff makes excellent recommendations. If we are ever in the area again we will do the full tour.

We arrived at the winery just in time for the last tour of the day. Garrett escorted us thru the different exhibits and answered all of our questions. We especially enjoyed the information on the barrel and cork making procedures. In the wine tasting area we were given an informative hand-out of details about each of the wines they produce...
