This is an area of town that is usually hopping at night due to the restaurants and drinking establishments in the area. There is plenty of free parking and everything is nearby. It gets really busy on Friday and Saturday nights.

Best part of my trip, except the time spent with my wife and daughter. Triple J restaurant was absolutely amazing. I will definitely go back for their steaks and drafts. Buddy Holly Museum and Wall of Stars was also worth the inexpensive admission. My wife and daughter had no idea who Buddy Holly was, but now appreciate his music and... More

Friday, Saturday hot spots. Triple J Brew Pub with hand-crafted beers. Take it to go and purchase a Growler, much better than canned beer, and the brewery is open to view. Live acoustic, local, players playing professionals in a bustling environment. Request taken...tip the player! Local art galleries. Check out the Tornado Gallery across the street, and bars and pubs... More

The Depot District is the host site for several events each year. The streets are blocked off so people can stroll the vendor booths and view attractions such as car & bike shows or on-stage music. The wide variety of restaurants and bars can keep you entertained for hours. Everybody has heard of Buddy Holly and this is where the... More

We have attended several functions at the Depot district. Enjoyed walking around downtown area and visiting several restaurants and bars. Was their for Toys for Tots.

We occasionally take visitors to the Depot District to have a few drinks and enjoy some entertainment. It gets quite busy on the weekends and most times it is a fun place to be. It is not a large area so the choices are some what limited, but most folks should be able to find something that will suit them.

The Depot District as great shopping and bars and restaurants. You can get great exercise walking this area. You have Buddy Holly Center and his statue and West Texas Walk of Fame.

We went during the day and didn't see much activity. There was a movie theater highlighting an outdoor concert for later. There are a few bars that weren't too busy and a few restaurants that were busy with graduation crowds. There was nothing to bring me back to the area later on that night.

I cannot agree with other ratings. Have been there 4 times. If you are from out of town, maybe from a bigger or more international city, the depot districts sucks. sorry. Bar hopping is practically not possible. It is just a block of bar(s). There are some ok bars in Lubbock though but the depot district is not an attraction.
