I cannot agree with other ratings. Have been there 4 times. If you are from out of town, maybe from a bigger or more international city, the depot districts sucks. sorry. Bar hopping is practically not possible. It is just a block of bar(s). There are some ok bars in Lubbock though but the depot district is not an attraction.

Spent a great half day shopping. The area seems to have an eclectic collection of shops including antiques, art, glass blowing etc. Weekends during summer offers a street fair type combination of fresh fruit and vegetables, plants, artisians and whatever. Numerous restaurants with one featuring a brewery. Of particular interest was the award winning McPherson Winery and tasting room. Our... More

On the weekends this is where the students hangout. There are a lot of different clubs, bars and restaurants. It can be fun for adults too if you find the right places! La Diosa is in the Depot and it's a fantastic place for those not wanting to hangout at the bars/clubs.

A great experience. Also went to a wedding reception there. My nephew loves the different programs. It is also a wonderful place to take school groups or have birthday parties.

This is what I feel makes Lubbock a small city and not a town. How often do you see this many fun bars in a town? EXACTLY! A must-see for Lubbock!! :)

The Cactus Theater has live entertainment weekly and puts on a great show. They also host theatrical productions. There are many good restaurants and bars in the District from which to choose. (Mostly bars).
