I arranged to take my grandad to see some of the old time trolley buses. We were joined by my aunt, cousin and her little boy (5). We found the staff and volunteers to be so friendly, welcoming and knowledgable about transport. On arrival we were given real old big penny's to pay for our first bus ride, this was... More

the museum is amazing in that they own around 50 trolley busses, on the day I visited five buses were in operation plus two diesel buses to shuttle between the museum and the railway station. the café on site has home made cakes, cooked breakfasts, etc it also has old shops with 1950s stock in the window plus a comprehensive gift... Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Refreshments were reasonably priced. There's an excellent selection of Trolleybuses to look at and ride on for the enthusiast.

We visited the trolleybus museum today with 2 young children and all had a fantastic day out. The staff were really friendly and couldn't of done more to make our day enjoyable. The cafe is excellent value for money and sells delicious cakes. The ice cream man was brilliant and friendly. Children loved the trail around the museum and the... More

Took my husband and the in laws and the boys loved it. Us girls enjoyed a tootle round on the trolley buses, 1950's prefab house, cafe (great value for money), icecream (gorgeous) (also a large lawn, nature trail, play park for kids to run off steam) A relaxing afternoon, lots to see but not all set out very informally. Staff... More

The Sandtoft Trolley bus Museum is a unique museum featuring an environmentally friendly electric form of transport sadly long gone. All the staff are volunteers who go that little bit extra to help.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, admission price is good value. The Trolleybus rides are very good, quite good variety to see. Even more so in a year or so i reckon when more are restored. Good cafe and shop. Highly recommend.

This is quite a small museum and I was glad to have gone when the Blues & Twos Emergency Weekend was on so that there were extra things to see. We went as a group comprising myself and my two children (8 & 10) and my parents. My parents enjoyed reminiscing and the kids just loved riding on the trolleybuses.... More

A little of the beaten track but well worth hunting out. Check open days/time before traveling as they are not open all the time. There was a good turn out while we where there. And a lot more to do and see than their web site would leave you believe. Good onsite cafe too with really reasonable price. Wonderful home... More

As many people do with a location on your doorstep, we live close to this place but it is one we have never been to. We decided to rectify this and take the grandkids aged 10 & 8 to show them what us poor, aged grandparents used to travel about on (not many family cars in those days). Luckily for... More
