Basically older fort like buildings left ibn the campus of a college. I didn't think it was worth the extra effort to get there, but if you're a Texas history buff you might like it.

So ona request from hotel staff for things to do, we went to Fort McIntosh and Laredo Community College. We went to the environmental center and got to see some live animals that are native to Texas. Like a miniature zoo, for 4 dollars it was worth it. We also got to walk a nature trail to a view of... More

Old Frontier Fort. Now the remaining buildings are on the campus of Laredo Community College. For anyone interested in wildlife, the Lamar Bruni Vergara Environmental Science Center has some animals on exhibit, plus there are trails where you may find some of the birds native to the Tamaulipan Scrub.
