We took the hour and a half tour from the visitor's center, after watching the historical film. Our guide, Dusk (she has a sister named Dawn) has lived in the area all her life and was able to answer all of our questions. We drove to parts of the Ranch, saw the St. Gertrudis cattle, quarter horses, wild life and... More

The tour was interesting, but the tour guide is really what can make or break the tour. We were taken around in a comfortable van. More

Because of the reviews we decided to go to the King ranch. We were a bit early for the 1pm tour. We got the tickets and then went for a bite to eat. We found it interesting, the only thing was that we could not get off the bus. It would have been nice to be able to look at... More

The King Ranch is an amazing part of US and Texas history. Reading about the Ranch's part it it makes you want to learn more. While the King Ranch is open for tours, you only get a taste of what it was like to be part of the King family and what they went through on a daily basis during... More

This may have been a nice place to visit, however, after arriving just past 1:30PM on a Friday, I was told there were no more tours for the day. There were three of us in the visitor center that were interested in the tour. We were able to watch the video about the history of the ranch and then were... More

The King Ranch is bigger than the State of Rhode Island and today is a huge corporation with operations in Florida, Australia and South Texas but it got it's start as a family-owned Texas ranch in the 1850s. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the ranch and began with a stop at the Visitor's Center where we bought tickets for... More
