We had expected to see some workings of the ranch. Our driver on the bus told us about moving cattle here, moving cattle there, but a member of the tour had to ask about how that is accomplished! Liked seeing the cattle, the horses, but the stop at the weaver house, where we FINALLY got to hear from a real... More

If you are interested in horses, cattle, farming, of history this ranch tour is for you. The King Ranch is legend, and is still being managed as a working ranch. The bus tour is informative, and you do get to see many of the activities of the ranch. It is obvious that this is still a true cattle and horse... More

This King Ranch history is fascinating and the tour showed some of the land and way of life. Today we got to see some of the cattle, a bit of the wildlife and only a few birds. Guess it was too cold At the ranch they show a film on the history which was interesting but I would have liked... More

Took the 1/2 day tour of the King Ranch, which included a BBQ lunch on the property, and was not disappointed. Being history buffs, we enjoyed the information about how the ranch developed, the breed of cattle developed there, as well as the fact that a great deal of pecans sold here are harvested on the ranch.

I took my two young sons to the King Ranch about 30 years ago and we were given a personal tour because I think we were the only tourists that showed up that day. My wife had never been and we're big history buffs, so I wanted her to see the ranch. I was surprised that there is now a... More

Got a late start to Kingsville but made it for the last tour of the day. The small bus was full and the temperature fluctuated. Our driver guide started with a short history (there is a 30 min film that gives you good background), then proceeded to talk while driving. It might have been better with a driver and tour... More

We visited the King Ranch and took the tour of the ranch. Me and my wife were very pleased and we will return again this year to the museum. The lady tour guide was very informed and took her time to explain just about every detail that was asked. You could tell she enjoyed her job, what a great job... More

We went to the visitor centre and took the bus tour around the ranch. The bus driver was very knowledgeable and informative. We saw a lot of native wild life and even saw an alligator in the swamp area! The kids had a terrific time and particularly liked browsing in the gift shop afterwards. We felt this gave us a... there is a good tour here in a small bus. They go into the history of the place, and point out a lot of local stuff. the "colony" where the staff live is very interesting, as is the main house. Watch the video to prepare properly - this is a huge operation, all dating back to one guy who started... More
