If u like texas history you will enjoy the tour. Be sure to watch the short information movie on the history of how the ranch got started. The King ranch is very diverse.

Positives: convenient location near historic downtown, ample parking Negatives: relatively few exhibits, no inside photography From its beginning, Texas has been a land of superlatives. Residents proudly proclaim everything is bigger there. Probably no institution represents that claim better than King Ranch. Tours of the actual property are available but we were concerned about riding in a bus over ninety... More

What can I say lots of grass. You also get to see cows and horses. Mainly just a bus ride around the ranch. The video they showed before the bus ride was good. But after that it was kinda a fight to stay awake. Kinda overpriced for what you get to see.

I wish they would offer more time choices for tours during summer months and Saturdays. We arrived just after the last tour at 1:00 so we only got to go in the visitor center. It was my birthday and we drove way out of our way to see the ranch and there was nothing to see ... Was disappointed. I... More

Even though we only offer 2 scheduled tours a day during the summer months, we do call in guides for additional tours regularly. Private tours can be booked in advance as well. I will visit with all of our cashiers to make sure that they are informing our Visitors' that we do offer additional tours if we have at least... More

How can you possibly miss the most famous ranch in the world? Time well spent and the history lesson is terrific. If you are in the area the last Saturday before Thanksgiving, they put on a huge cowboy breakfast. Just do it.

My mouth waters as I remember the great food they served us all. Southern Hospitality at its best! As we say in TEXAS: "Y'ALL COME!"

This is a great 2 hour bus tour of the ranch with a narrator that knows about every inch of the ranch, the herds, the employees and the founders. Great bargain @ $10.00

We visited the King Ranch and it was very interesting and informative. However, being a working ranch who still uses horses - our guide could not tell us where Wiimpy P 1 was buried. They have wonderfully marked graves for the thoroughbreds. I would have thought they would have been more informative of the Quarter Horses. What happened to Wimpy... More

There's not much good to say. We stopped off here on the way from South Padre Island to San Antonio. Unfortunately, the kids (ages 5-15) found license plate watching in the car more interesting than the ranch tour. So, did the adults! A small bus took us around the ranch but never let us get off. All we saw was... More

If you ever have the chance to take a guided tour of the King Ranch, don't miss it. This is the only way to get onto the ranch itself (there is a separate museum in nearby Kingsville). It is a 90 minute bus tour on which you will see cattle, horses, varied wildlife, and a number of important working areas... More
