I feel really bad writing an non-favorable review of the King Ranch, because I really wanted to like it. You're basically on a tour bus for an hour and a half. The tour guide was kind and knowledgeable, but it was just too long to stare at empty prairies. A few migrating birds were pointed out and that's nice, but... More

We did the tour museum combo upon the advise of a museum employee who pointed the way to the ranch visitor center to purchase tickets. Bus tour started at noon. Our driver/tour guide "Dusk" was very informative and did a great job. The bus tour was about 90 minutes long. We continued on to the museum and viewed a couple... More

This is hard for me to rate. In terms of the bus tour around the ranch, I can't fault the enthusiasm or the knowledge of our guide (thanks Miguel - you were awesome) and for that I would give a 4 to 5 star rating. On the other hand, there were very limited opportunities to get out of the bus... More

Toured the ranch with some beef producers. Set up a special tour of the ranch and feedlot. Although we arrived on time we were rushed through the tour and made to feel as if we were an inconvenience. By the time we returned from the tour the gift shop was closed. Most of the tour was a history of the... More

My wife and I toured this world famous ranch and we were not disappointed. It is a tract of land bigger than Rhode Island and is almost a city in itself with the school and village with accommodations. We will go back as there was a lot to absorb on a short visit. It would have been nice to interact... More

Miguel was our guide on the general tour. He was personable, had fascinating stories, was knowledgeable about history and ranching operations. he even remembered where everyone was from after greeting us as we got on bus! Amazing! We learned so much, saw wildlife and had an enjoyable trip! Well worth the time and money!

The website says the tour is first come first serve. However, when we got there around 10:30AM, we found out the 11AM tour is full. The reason it was full was because a family made reservation but was not there yet! Didn't realize you can make reservation. It was nice of them to add tours so we got on the... More

We took the bus tour of King Ranch. The driver/tour guide provided an interesting and historically informative tour of the ranch including founders, growth, industries, cattle breeds, etc. We came to really appreciate the early settlers and the hard work they put in to their ranch. In addition, we were exposed to the current active workings of the ranch, the... More

This ranch has so much potential to make a tour very interesting... but they almost totally miss the opportunity. If you come to visit the biggest ranch in Texas, an historic ranch... you want to see a big ranch operate: we tought we were going to see hords of long horns and many horses, see some of the buildings and... I had an extra day to fill in Corpus Christi and noticed this place in one of the tourist booklets I had been given by the staff at my hotel. I had never heard of it until the day before I went. It took me about thirty minutes to drive to Kingsville from Corpus Christi, but once I was there... More
