We had heard that this was an interesting piece of Texas history but was more than pleased with the staff and the narrative guided bus tour of the ranch. The gift shop/visitors center was well stocked and staffed with a great young lady. Watch the brief film after you take the tour, it will add to the experience.

Great ladies at the gift shop who were delightful. Our tour guide who has a home on Berthoud CO was terrific. He made the entire tour educational and interesting. Lolo was amazing and so was the chance to meet Beto. Truly thankful we came to Kings Ranch.

Very knowledgable guide. We were able to see deer, turkeys. roadrunners, quail and jack rabbits. Of course the cattle and horses. We did not realize the vast holdings of the ranch. I have always wanted to come here and it is wonderful to finally accomplish this. I would recommend this to anyone to realize the workings of a ranch.

If you want to tour a ranch, see wildlife or soak in some pretty Texas countryside, you will definately want to make sure you plan a visit to King Ranch in Kingsville (TX). Kings Ranch was established in 1853 by Captain Richard King. King originally bought over 68,000 acres of land from Spanish and Mexican land grants. The ranch today... More

We had anticipated seeing the workings of a large ranch, but we saw very little -- a few cattle, a few horses, and a few birds. We rode in an air conditioned shuttle with a driver who gave us some ranch history. We only had one stop, and that was to hear an elderly ranch hand talk to us about... More

We loved the tour and the history of this working ranch, that is known world-wide. When we lived in Kingsville back in the 60's there were no tours, so we were tickled to be able to do this now. Everyone needs to do this tour.

My husband booked this 9 hour tour at $250 each. I was originally aghast, but after completing it I can understand the fee better. For one thing the fee at that amount helped insure that only serious birders were on the tour. We did not have to put up with fussy or disruptive children or talkative distracting idle conversation or... More

Took the bus tour learned a good deal of things about The King Ranch, and the King Family. Also watched the video which I found very educational and useful.

We took the tour by bus to see part of the ranch. The driver was very good at explaining in her slow Texan drawl the lay of the land, and she had some interesting stories. We saw the beautiful long-horned cattle, cowboys, huts, the original home, pasture. The driver drove slowly enough to allow us to take photos. It was... More
