This park was clean even as bandera's medina river was loaded with E. coli virus due to low levels of water . Schreiner was tested and came out clean. Warm water and easy access into water. I highly recommend it.

The park is small and is basically a swimming location for some folks. The park itself has a nice atmosphere with the wooden walk bridge. There are ducks and they will come right up to you looking for food... Kinda noisy... lol.. The river is nice and the scenery is pretty...

I was headed up to Kerrville Folk life Festival this weekend and before I went my friend and I stopped off at Flat Rock to jump in the water. The park is nice and easier to get into the water from the side where you pay to get in. The price per person is about $4 each. That's not bad... More

I took my two sons and stayed in Cabin 6 by the water. It was beautiful and very comfortable for a boy weekend. We will be back! We hiked, biked, fished and exlpored. The staff is awesome and the park is well maintained.

We didn't see much of the park other than the boat ramp where we put in our kayak. There's a lovely stretch of river to row on between two dams. Nice, clean restrooms with showers to change in.

Looking for a great place to picnic? We discovered it off Hwy 173 just before Kerrville - beautiful huge shade trees over looking the Guadalupe River - quiet with a couple of families sharing the area - swimming, canoeing, and inner tubes too - watched the ducks while eating our lunch - waded in the shallow water near our table... We took the kids here for the first time for the first exprience canoeing. I must say they had a difficult time at first but then they got the hang of it. After that we just hung out at the river and the kids didnt wanna leave.
