If you like to see plenty of white-ail deer, and beautiful water, spend some time here. You can park your RV here, and ride your bikes or motorcycles all up and down the beautiful Hill Country roads, fish or kayak the beautiful Guadalupe River, and see more wildlife than you have eve seen in your life., Kerrville is an extremely... Kerrville-Schreiner Park used to be Kerrville State Park until a few years ago. When the state announced that they had worked out a deal with the city to turn the park over to them, I expected the park to go downhill fast. I must say I have been very pleasantly surprised. Most city parks I have visited are rarely maintained... More

Don't miss out on this park! Excellent hiking trails on 400 acres. Lots of animals to see like deer, turkey, squirrels and black buck. The trails aren't difficult but scenic and fun. Perfect for families. The campsites are right off the Guadalupe River so swimming access is easy. New playground equipment as well. You can rent tubes to play on... More

This was our first trip back since this changed from a state park to a city park. I sure prefer the price as a city park since you aren't also charged an entrance fee. We were camping on the river side, which was very nice and relaxing. Then we drove around and hiked the other side of the highway the... More

This park is part of Kerrville's heritage. Easy to reach on the bike path, it seemed under-utilized on a sunny Sunday morning.

Our geocaching association chose this park as the site for our 2015 TXGA Texas Roundup event - and I'm glad we did! The mini cabin we reserved and stayed in for two nights near the river was much more spacious than I imagined it would be. The staff were friendly and the grounds were very well maintained. We'd be happy... More

Decided to go off the beaten path and randomly picked this park to go geocaching. Found 15 geocaches and enjoyed the relaxing peaceful scenery of the river.

This park is split into two distinct sections by Bandera Highway. One side has the main entrance, Park office, various types of camp sites, and river access. Choose this side if you require quick river access or you must have 50 amp service. You will have to put up with plenty of highway noise. The other side of the Park,... More
