Highly recommend Capt Kidd sailing as they are organized, skilled and offer the best sail experience. For $30 you get a two hour cruise leaving the Kemah Boardwalk and into the open waters. You can bring your own drinks and the entire adventure is pure relaxation. Will do this again - and soon.

I would highly recommend this said over a catamaran ride. This is your sail your way. The Skipper and crew were wonderful. We sailed out to the base of the ship channel and it was amazing. This is great for families, couples, and retires. I HIGHLY recommend it!

Captain Jim and First Mate Bill were informative, fun, relaxing, and above all...safe. What an enjoyable way to spend the afternoon. Great music, beverages were allowed on the boat and ice was provided. On a top-sail schooner sailing Galveston Bay it was an excellent experience. You can enjoy the sail alone, or join in the fun on-board. Would be great... More

We took our family on this sailboat cruise out of Kemah. It's very relaxing. You can bring your own water/soft drinks. The crew was very friendly and eager to answer any questions, but you could also be left alone to enjoy the ride. It's an hour out and an hour back. Very nice!

Our hosts were outstanding! We loved the sailing. . .the sunset. . .the music. . .the stories of past sailing. We hope to do this again really soon.

We went on the Sunset cruise on Saturday night. The boat was nearly full, but still a very relaxing sail. The Captain & his mate were very friendly and did all the work, leaving the relaxing to the guests. Boat was in excellent shape, and the sailing was smooth, with just the sound of the wind and waves and some... More

We'll be honest, we chose this chartered boat since it was the only one giving boat rides during the week for a sunset cruise. I called early in the day to book a seat for two. We paid cash when we got to the dock for the ride. We went out about 4-5 miles. They have a cooler to store... More

Just got off the boat. Weather made the sail iffy at first. Wonderful night & great crew. Great trip for those who just might think they want to sail.

A replica of a schooner with red sails and the Jolly Roger flying high, the Captain Kidd looks the part. But the real joy is stepping aboard for a summer evening sail. We booked the Friday evening fireworks cruise, which is nearly three hours from the time you leave the slip until you return. Our sail was a peaceful, sunset... More

My husband and I love the ride on Capt Kidd's Schooner. Call for reservations to make sure you get a seat. We are looking forward to another trip.
