So many ducks, trees, a nice lake, playgrounds for the kids. Great park in the middle of the city. My grandson loved watching the ducklings and walking around the parameter of the lake. I enjoyed getting pictures of the numerous ducks and birds.

It was nice we were passing through headed to AZ and needed to take a break and stretch our legs. So we walked around.

Fishing pond is good for family outing. Good environment, good scenery. Lots of shaded area to avoid the beating sun.

We love Mary Jo Peckham Park as there are many activities fun for the family. The playground offers structures for the kids to climb on and swings. Walk over to the pond and watch the huge fish swim around. Check out clubs and balls to play putt putt golf free! Want to fish? There is a small lake to fish... More

There are newer parks in the Katy area, but Mary Jo Peckham Park is a favorite. It has a pond with ducks, you can fish, picnic, play on the playground or play mini golf (for free). The walking/jogging path is nice (one lap is about 3/4 of a mile) with some areas that are shaded (nice on a hot day).

Wonderful Katy park with things to do for everyone! My husband and I have been going there for years. In the spring, they are a trout hatchery release location so fun fishing if you have the right touch. Catfishing also available. Around the large pond is a nice walkway where many people and leashed dogs walk and jog. Lots of... More

Found this park by doing research for fishing spots. They stock it, but the vultures eat all the fish and scare away everyone. Needs maintenance, that's for sure. It's really not a big deal, just go to your back yard. It's like a neighborhood park.
