We wandered into this by accident and I could have spent double the 1 1/2 hours we spent in there.. As others have said already.. If you have any fascination about land surveying, maps, and clocks then you have to visit this place. I have always had a interest in surveying and this about blew my mind.. The owner has... More

If you end up enjoying the B&Bs in town it is well worth allocating a couple of hours for this museum. The owners are knowledgeable, enthusiastic and generous with their time which makes the whole place a must see if you have any interest in maps, clocks or anything related to measurement.

This is a great collection of clocks, survey equipment, mechanical calculators, and other interesting stuff. The owner is a retired surveyor and is very knowledgeable of both the history and the workings of his items. If the place is not busy, the owner will give you a tour and you can focus on the items that are of most interest... More

We enjoyed looking at the massive collection of clocks, surveying equipment, and maps. The owners are super nice folks and give you a very personal tour. They do ask for donations, but there is absolutely no pressure.

We were given an hour long free personal tour of antique clock, maps, surveying tools, and even a salt & pepper shaker collection! The owners are so, so kind and sweet and the museum is worth going to just to meet them. This is their personal collection that they enjoy sharing with others free of charge.

I see that someone wrote a review complaining that he was bored by what he found here. That is his right, but I would point out that it is absolutely free of charge, and contains a large collection of important instruments used for surveying and many clocks. The owner is a very interesting and informative man, who shares his 60... More

The owners are a very nice retired couple that love to give a personal guided tour. We spent about an hour with the wife before her husband came in. They are both very friendly and knowledgeable about their clocks, maps and surveying tools.

The museum was established and is run by a local couple who have collected a really diverse and interesting assortment of clocks, measuring and surveying tools, and early calculators. If you are a technology buff or just like local history, this is worth a stop. The owner-curators are gracious and informed.
