We paid $18 a piece to see the Christmas train and it was a dang joke...very disappointed. Cheesy decorations and you couldn't hear what the lady was saying about each one. We felt like we'd been ripped off big time. The kids that were on the train were so disappointed too... so it's not just because we are adults.

The fight train is a joke. Not scary, no effort, no set design, few scenes, it was silly. Don't wast your money.

We took the fright train (family with three young children). It wasn't scary and I am glad for that, but the adults had headaches from the fumes of the open seating train....not worth the money in our opinion. There are much better trains in Texas ( though Jefferson is a charming city.)

The Fright train was good three years ago, the last two times it is getting lamer and lamer. We sat there waiting for something scary to happen but it never did..

We tried to ride the train 2 days in a row. Of course we failed. The first day they decided they only opened on Friday and Saturday. Our fault. We came back on Friday to find that they were again closed. We didnt want to hear the early stories so we came closer to 830. Other people were showing up... More

Our ride on the train was A bit disappointing. There wasn't much to see. The tour guide needs some training to not read the script. it might be a nice ride during Christmastime. Looked like there were lots of light on the trees.

We rode the train on Saturday and had the absolutely best time riding it. Great narration during the ride.

Don't waste your money on this train. They no longer have the locomotive that was so neat and they simply take you on a thirty minute figure-eight slow roller with a diesel engine stub. What do you get to see? A filthy bayou and a trash-strewn panorama of filth resting among a clear-cut of what used to be a timber... More

Disappointing, overpriced. We were surprised at the lack of lights. The narration was boring. The steam engine wasn't even working at the time. Not enough lights and the displays left a lot to be desired..We won't do this again.

My husband, Mom and I really enjoyed the railroad. Lots of history explored on the ride. A must for your visit to Jefferson!
