Description: The Corris Craft Centre, where the King Arthur's Labyrinth adventure...
The Corris Craft Centre, where the King Arthur's Labyrinth adventure starts, is a National Tourism Awards finalist in the Best Day Out in Wales 2015! This storytelling adventure is time travel at its best as you're swept underground by a mysterious hooded boatman and through a magical waterfall; your gateway to the Dark Ages and to the life and times of King Arthur.Once docked, your boatman guides you around the vast caverns and winding tunnels of the Labyrinth where you'll find ancient stories of King Arthur and other Welsh legends too. Enjoy stories of the mighty King Arthur who came out of the darkness to face formidable Saxon invaders, stories of dragons foretelling Celtic glory, of a giant so colossal he waded across the Irish Sea, of King Arthur's final battle - the Battle of Camlan and more; all brought to life through dramatic scenes, light and sound. This is a real adventure for young and old whatever the weather - a cool attraction when hot and a dry attraction when wet. Open: Daily 10am to 5pm from 23rd March to 1st November 2015

We did this the day after the Llechwedd slate mine in Blaenau. That had a mine car to enter. This had a boat to cross a flooded section and then a walk around the inside of the mountain. It was clear that there was a similar slate bedding plane and similar working techniques but this tour was more about a... More

I went with my husband, children (aged 16,13,11 and 9), brother and sister-in-law. We had a fantastic time. Very organized. We only went to King Arthur's Labyrinth although there are other attractions/things to do at the site. First you watch a short video and then you're taking to the mine. At may be cold so take a jacket/jumper and the... More

The tour around the old mine workings together with the story of King Arthur was quite good and interesting and lasted around 1 hour. But on the downside I think that the lighting could be improved to show off the splendour of the caverns which I think would be a big improvement. As flash photography is not allowed the results... Thank you for your review. The dark underground caverns, we hope, provide an aire of mystery and a dramatic backdrop for the retelling of our ancient Welsh legends. If you wish to see more of the vast underground caverns and to learn about the slate mining history we have another attraction, which starts from the same site, called Corris Mine... More

Two parts to this attraction. Labyrinth underground. Excellent well organized. Can be cold so take something warm. Bit messy underfoot sensible shoes a must. The storytelling is great. Could be a bit scary for very young children as it is very dark. No dogs. Magic circle outside a maze with stories to keep everyone engrossed. Quiz for the children with... More

A beautiful review, thank you. Some great advice too, the underground temperature is a constant 8 degrees so definitely wrap up warm and, being underground, the floor is uneven so sensible footwear is recommended. More

King Arthurs Labyrinth. Set in an old slate mine. That it's in an old slate mine is a good reason to visit. Go in the mindset that it is a story being told and everything else is there to tell the story. Yes the manequins are a little tired and the boatmen aren't as 'scary' or as overbearing as I... More

The adventure underground is just that, and for children from 6-7 upward it should be lots of fun, for those younger it may be a little too scary. For making use of an old slate mine the owners deserve some credit, however the experience felt somewhat lacking. A walk along a tunnel leads to a long boat which takes you... More

Thank you for your review, it’s good to read that you had fun underground and that your niece was comforted by our mysterious boatman. We’re sorry that you didn’t enjoy the stories told and found them difficult to hear, I will mention this to our underground technicians. Although we can do nothing about the content of the stories, these are... More

Had lovely afternoon here - highly recommend. If you enter into the spirit & with a tongue in cheek just enjoy it. Kids love it. Dark caverns, boat ride, spooky voices - brilliant!
