I was very happy with my visit to the Blue Lagoon.Water was clear. It was nice and quiet. We stayed at the wally camp.Very secluded.Loved snorkeling, did it the whole time I was there, and taught my daughter how.She loved it,and took my gear away so she would do it.I will definitely go back as soon as we can.Not very many places around Houston... A typical Texas lake. Depth is a shallow 20 something feet.... 25 maybe? Visibility depends totally on the time of year. In the spring and winter visibility is good. Summer brings the algae bloom and so the visibility drops drastically down. On the weekends there are often students getting certified so visibility is less due to students kicking up silt... More

While getting certified with Texan Scuba, we did our dives in the Blue Lagoon Our instructors were amazing, Thanks Sheila, Pat and Jim! The site is amazing. Words here will not do it justice so check it out for yourself The owners, Phil and Sharla, as well as the staff make you feel like you belong! Great experience and great... More

I decided to go there using the information that is here. I did not see the website, so I arrived there at 5, and after 4 nobody is allowed to enter. We were invited to leave the place. The fees seem to high for me.

Its really clean place with great student platforms and the ability to work on diving skills close to the Houston area. Visibilty gets really bad as the day progresses due to all the student divers. The entrance fee seems high at $17 and they charge way to much for a daily tank rental. You can rent tanks at your local dive... More

My wife was just PADI scuba certified through their Texan Scuba shop at The Blue Lagoon and can't shut up about her experience! I dove with her on her last day of training and had a blast! Water was a little turbid by 3pm but still tons-o-fun! Great staff and my 4 & 8 year old fell in love with... More

As I was getting certified my wife and little one's were able to hang out and do some swimming/ snorkeling. It was almost as if we were on a beautiful beach somewhere in the Caribbean. Excellent place to have some quality family time. The staff there are friendly. I highly recommend their SCUBA classes thru Texan Scuba.

This is a perfect spot to learn to scuba or to go and home your skills. They have underwater platforms and obstacles for you to maneuver around. Clear water and easy entry.

This was a wonderful place to enjoy with friends, families, or couples. Get there about 10-30 minutes before the lagoon opens. There are limited picnic tables with shelters and the summer heat can get overwhelming. Reservations are not accepted so if you want to get in, get there early. I got there at 10:10am and was one of the last... More

Blue Lagoon was a perfect place to take our scuba. Also, a great place to go and hang out on the water. Very clean.
