We drove by the Sam Houston Statue on our way over to Huntsville. It was enormous, and incredible to see that such an old statue still looks brand new today. More

I pass by the Sam Houston Statue every time during my drive from Houston to Dallas. I enjoy seeing a historical site that is nicely kept. Its interesting to see how a piece of history still exist! More

We visited the statue and continued to the Sam Houston Museum in town. A very nice family visit and Texas history. More

This statue is visible several miles before you actually get to it on IH 45. Walking up to it is a real experience as you can see how big it actually is. More

They have a nice gift shop, and it's fun to take pictures up close and personal. It's not gonna change your life, and you can do it in 10 minutes including buying a postcard, but if you're along the Huntsville Interstate, it's a fun stop. More
