Excellent Course!

It is expertly manicured and fun to play. Obviously it is on of the best in Houston. It is surprisingly not as difficult as I expected.

Every summer a buddy and I take a baseball/golf vacation and this year Texas was our destination. We have played some of the best courses in the country, Pebble Beach,Spy Glass,Firestone, Oakmont, Whistling Straits and many others that have hosted PGA Tourneys and Major Golf Tourneys. While in Texas this year we thought it would be fun to play the... More

Dear Trume3, We are extremely sorry you had a bad experience at Golf Club of Houston. In your case we dropped the ball in alerting you in advance to the course conditions on the Tournament Course. We are truly sorry. I promise you this was not intentional. Due to circumstances beyond our control the Tournament Course was not at a... More

This is a great golf course, and will test you plenty on almost every hole. What I don't realize seeing it on TV during the Shell Open, is how much forest is around it, even driving to some tee boxes through the jungle can be an adventure. With that come bugs, which this course has plenty of, so bring the... More

Since the Golf Club of Houston acquired the facility from Redstone it no longer welcomes the public in the dinning room. It is still a wonderful facility and both the championship and member courses are excellent places to play golf. I just wish I could afford a membership.

I was very excited to play this PGA course!! Upon arrival I smelled a strong odor. I wish I knew before paying that this course is in close proximity to a landfill. Unfortunately my afternoon I played golf and smelled stinky garbage...disgusting. I don't know how residence can live with foul odor!

Very nice menu, bar services are excellent, staff is extremely nice and helpful. While I am not a golfer, it is certainly nice to relax and catch up with collegues in an environment other than the office or a loud bar. We certainly enjoy the time we spend at Redstone.

Super course and facilities. A bit pricey for the family but wonderful to play the course. There are better designed courses out there but well worth a day out. Some super holes (play the 18th from the back tees).

Arrived excited to be playing a PGA Tour Course but was underwhelmed by the surly head pro in the shop and the lack of directions to practice ground, 1st tee or indeed anywhere. Drove around aimlessly and finally got a bit of a bearing and headed to the practice ground where the starter was very helpful suggesting the blue tees.... More

And because of that, a must play for a golf nut. Always in great shape. It has it's attractive holes but because it's in a very flat part of Houston, not extremely memorable.

Played the Tournament Course today for the first time and have only great things to say about this wonderful course. Starting at the clubhouse, practice range and putting area the layout is fantastic. Add to the course a great staff in the pro shop, rangers, cart lady and above all our caddie Nolan, I can't give enough kuddos. The course... More
