Downtown Destination

Bit of a sleeper some great resturants but we were there for Halloween and it was dead? Hope it gets busier.

I have been to Bayou Place (formerly the Verizon Center) three times over the years - the first time was to see Oasis (when the Gallagher boys were not squabbling so much), the second time was for Megadeth, and this week, I have been to See Alice Cooper. The venue is easy to get to downtown, and there is lots... More

Saw Dancing With The Stars-or tried to. Don't bother paying extra for floor seats. The stage is so low and folding seats are all at the same level, so it's nearly impossible to see what's happening on the stage. It doesn't help that people are holding their cell phones above everyone to film and there is no policy against it... More

Great venue, lot the intimacy with the entertainer. Could use a god cleaning as the stair railings were sticky from all of the spilled cocktails.

Blue Fish and Italian restaurants, and Sundance movie theatre are very good; the Sundance shows many films not available in all theaters. The Hard Rock Café is, well, the Hard Rock Café. If that's what you want, fine. The Sundance refunds the parking fee for underground parking right as you come in the door, which is nice. The only thing... More

My wife and I attended a show at the music center this past weekend. This was our first time to this venue. When researching the parking options, I selected a link on the venues web site for prepaid parking. The closest recommended parking was approximately 6 blocks away. I selected this lot. On arrival at the venue, much to my... More

Bayou Place is ok...there's the Hard Rock cafe and a few other restaurants and some shops but whatever. The music venue itself (formerly the Verizon Wireless) is easily my favorite place to see a show. I've seen Brian Wilson, Cake, Counting Crows, The Toadies and several other great bands there and I can't say enough. There are almost no bad... More

Really nice movie theatre, great sitting with a look-like-spa finishing! It is located right downtown Houston, there are a lot of things to do before/after a good movie!

The venue itself is nice enough for all types of concerts. However, the bar service is overwhelmed, under staffed, and at times they are rude. They could do so much better.

My wife and I attended the Feb 7 Ron White performance at the Bayou Music Center. The performance was great but the seats and facility was horrible. We had center section 24th row tickets on the floor (Sec 102, row X). The seats are literally connected folding chairs backed very close to the row in front. You better like your... More
