The Hobby Center is by far the best live theater venue in the Houston area. Although it is not a new building it is very well kept.

We have had season Tickets for over 20 years. We throughly enjoy all the TUTS Productions. There are Revival Musicals and Recently on tour Broadway Shows. We have seen many shows in NYC and these are as good as it gets.

I like this venue because you have good seats no matter really where you get them. The seats are tight because the shows pack. Sound and lighting are awesomely done and of course you want to get as close to the stage as you can but it wont disappoint you if you don't. Just saw "Ghost" and loved it. If... More

Liked the show and the venue. Just watch the stairs to the main lobby, as they are marble and slippery!

The architecture is beautiful. We drove down to see Wicked and I really liked the outside of it. Inside it has a nice small comfortable feel. We were not in close seats but it felt like we could see everything up close.

We love Elf the Movie and quote lines from it year round at home and at work, so we were excited to see the musical and it was a bit of a letdown. They left out some of the funniest parts, such as the Miles Finch part "call me elf one more time" are you kidding??? That is the funniest... More

Well-designed, good acoustics, a good theater-going experience in Houston. Parking is a challenge, either in the closest lot or winding through the vast underground to the nearest door, but is adequate. Drinks available on several floors, dining nearby.

We went to a theater performance for Elf at the Hobby Center. It is always a treat to visit this theater for any performance. The building is just pretty. The balcony makes a nice backdrop for pictures during intermission! They also sell champagne during the break... nice touch.
