The Hobby Center does many wonderful productions during the course of the year (we just saw Newsies). The acting was superb and the set was unbelievable. The only drawback is the parking. Allow for plenty of time to find a space as the closer parking lots fill up quickly. When leaving, expect to stand in line again just to get... More

I watched Dirty Dancing here and it was a really good production. The seats weren't bad and its a great theatre. Even if we sat higher up, we were able to see the stage well. The atmosphere was wonderful and really drew you in to the performing arts world.

We have been subscribers for a couple of years and we are always impressed by the quality of the performance, setting and staff. Convenient parking in the underground Tranquility Park with direct access. Downtown Houston offers a wide variety of dining before and after the show.

A lot of thought and planning went into this "new" performance place. Originally designed and built for Houston's premiere musical theater company Theater Under The Stars. Now it serves Broadway Across America, and small plays that aren't musicals. If there's a show in town and you think you're interested, go ahead and go. There's a first rate restaurant in the... Enjoyed the concert venue here at Hobby Center, it is small enough to enjoy the show but big enough to accommodate a larger crowd. Bar and food upstairs, valet parking out front. Plenty of self-parking around the area.

the Hobby Center is a great complex for watching a show. It's not too large so that you always have a good seat. I do wish they had provided a tad more leg room. the sound quality is good and the surrounding is very nice. like most buildings in Houston, the Hobby Center was built with its back to the... More

The Hobby Theatre in Houston was a wonderful experience. We saw The Music Man which was a lot of fun. I also recommend the restaurant inside that you have to have theatre tickets to get into and it was worth it. The waiters were gracious, kind and the food arrived quickly and was delicious. There were plenty of service bars... More

Loved how they kept the ladies room line MOVING along at intermission! ha! I don't know how they did it but they had us women moving so fast in line we could even get a drink before the play started up again! :) loved it! We saw Mamma Mia - excellent chick musical. Fun evening.

The Hobby Center in downtown Houston is reminiscent of a gorgeous theater you'd see in New York City. It is visually appealing with attention to detail in the architecture. Felt like I was watching a Broadway show due to the wonderful talent and I can see they have a variety of shows that are brought to the Hobby Center. Something... More

We went to see Once! at the Hobby Center. If you go, make reservations to the restaurant located in the Hobby Center called Artista. You have to make reservations and it's worth it. Get there early avoid the traffic have a glass of wine, dinner and go to the show. We really enjoyed the show.
