enjoyed the music from the German brass band, the main attraction was the solo violin player. Met President and Mrs. Bush

Recently visited the Houston Symphony to attend the Carmina Burana concert. Had an absolutely amazing time! The place is beautiful and the music was mesmerizing!! Looking forward to more concerts here. The only down side - restrooms are located on one side of the hall and since the building is old, they haven't added any more. Be ready for a... More

It is a great experience for children at a young age. The music is wonderful and all of the conductors are very talented at third job. I would recommend.

I've had the good fortune of attending several of the Houston Symphony's movie nights where the orchestra plays the score of the movie and the project the movie on the backdrop. We thoroughly enjoyed the performances and would highly recommend seeing their next offering. Parking is available at the underground garage across the street from Jones hall. Bring cash, they... I choose my subscription carefully every year and have never been disappointed in the quality of the orchestra, conductor or guest artists. The hall is spacious and seats are comfortable compared to most performance venues. I've cried and exulted depending on the compositions. There is a 20 minute pre-concert discussion as well as a propos lobby performers to welcome concert-goers.... More

World class! Something for all tastes: Pops, classics, even outdoor at the Miller amphitheater and Mitchell Pavilion in the Woodlands. Many performances have an introduction by a member of Symphony-which seems to make it more approachable. We appreciate that Houston has this cultural asset and Ballet and Opera.

Enjoyed a wonerful summer evening in Houston listening to the symphany play at Miller Outdoor Theater. This was the fourth segment entitled East Meets West and featured Changlu Wu playing an instrument called a pipa. This is a four string plucked instrument, a kind of lute that dates back 2000 years. Beautiful sound. Nice family friendly crowd gathered on the... More

I had not been to see the HSO in a while. Recently attended a performance and was very impressed with the quality. I really like the new conductor. I certainly will plan to attend more regularly.
