This is great value ..a symphony that offers the widest range of music. The "Pops" recently featured the music of John Williams. They opened the season with Joshua Bell, the famed violinist and as well as the great classics, they innovate showing movies where the orchestra pays the sound track from the original. Coming soon is "Singing in the Rain."... More

We took our 9 year old to the John Williams tribute and it was wonderful. There were lots of fun touches, the orchestra was flawless and the venue is really nice. We were in the tippy-top and could still see and hear it all. We've already bought tickets for two more events in the coming months because we had such... More

The new music director is outstanding, the programming is solid if staid, and there always seem to be good seats. One of the better orchestras in the country. Jones Hall is a nice venue to catch a concert in, and the food served isn't bad either.

We went to the tribute to Marvin Hamlisch who is one of our favorite composers. The symphony put on a virtuoso performance, playing all our favorites like The Way We Were and What I Did for Love. It featured Marissa McGowan, who starred in Hamlisch’s last musical, in her Houston Symphony debut. It was conducted by Jack Everly, who is... More

Pluses: 1. easy parking garage across the street if early 2. the conductor is amazing! Areas of improvement: 1. restrooms are too few and too far

If you have not recently attended the Houston Symphony you must look over the amazingly diverse scedule and buy some tickets! If you are a local, they have some packages with 4 or more nights as a subscription. They have a POPS series too, I love it! (If you only need a 1 night ticket look on line for the... More

The houstoon Symphony is world-class! The new conductor Andres Orozco Estrada and the musicians bring verve and emotion to very skillful performances that provide magnificent performances.

I have had season tickets for over 30 years but am always in awe of the class of this symphony. Houston is a very international city and at every event I hear at least 4 languages spoken, 5 if you include "Texan".

Purchased "pick 3" season ticket package and picked a couple of pops concerts and the Berlioz... last night I really enjoyed the first of three concerts at Jones Hall... we purchased season tickets for other Houston area performing arts series... The Houston Symphony is one of the pricier season ticket packages, but they do deliver a nice production... bravo
