A truly rich experience!

Houston Symphony was extraordinary...the space, the music, the quality were first rate. We have seen two shows and will come for more.

Just finished my second year's classical subscription. Love the new conductor and the music this year has been wonderful. (I don't enjoy the Thursday night "Speaking with Andres" lectures at Rice though. They cut half the program, plus it's not Andres but someone else doing the discussion.

Some attractions you take your kids and they get bored. Not this museum. Here you can bring your kids again and again, without any doubts. They will never get bored. There is something for every kid to get involved and be happy about.

The Houston Symphony has been a world class symphony for decades now, as any music lover knows. Lang Lang performing Tchaik 1 piano concerto was breathtaking. With Andres Orozco-Estrada at the helm and Lang Lang pushing speedily along, the musicians stayed together tightly and built to a magnificent conclusion. On their own, the Tchaik 5 symphony was fantastic. Thank you... More

This weekend only, "A Musical Tribute to Marvin Hamlisch" presented by the Houston Symphony. This composer was prolific with scores for Broadway, films and singers. This tribute conducted by a friend of Marvin's, so very touching. The music is fantastic. Jones Hall, not a bad seat in the house. Act quickly!

This is one of the best symphonies around the world, their performances are spectacular. Former Director was great, the newone, Colombian, is young, energetic and vibrant in every performance.

Love the symphony. Been going to this symphony since I was a kid. This is pretty much the only place in Houston for large-scale indoor symphonies. Miller Outdoor Theater sometimes has symphonic performances but then again, it's outdoors. The venue is quite good and you really don't have a bad seat in the house. Sound is excellent. The only drawback... More

The symphony continues to improve. They seem more lively and motivated under their new artistic director Jones hall is a great place for a concert, however, the elevators are a challenge for those who cannot walk the stairs.

When in the Merchant Marines docked at the Houston Shipyard in the 1970's, dressed up in suit & tie and attended this musical Rodgers & Hammerstein II memorable event. Academy Award winner Yul Brynner was in his prime. Based on the 1944 novel by Margaret Landon. Single seats were available. This was the Best Performance I had ever attended. Largest... More
