I booked a Friday night lock-in for our scout troop. We went with 30 scouts & adults. They had a couple staff members who stayed with us to help with learning how to safely climb and belay. This was a very good experience both as the organizer and attendee. I climbed until I couldn't hold on anymore!

I'm a new climber so this is the only rock gym I've been to and I love it. I go here Monday's with a friend for lady's night (half off day pass) and get a great workout. Bought my own gear so I don't have to rent but they have everything you would need here. They recently renovated so there's... More

Really good gym, plenty of routes, bouldering and auto-belay's so you can even climb on your own. I bought the package for 10 day passes, they're slightly cheaper and they can be used throughout the year (or use them to sign in someone else). You can leave and come back with a day pass, so I'd recommend taking a break... More

I really enjoy Texas Rock Gym. When I started climbing I went to several other gyms and they could not compare. Great place

The climbing and bouldering were good. The floor staff was helpful and nice. However the girl behind the desk was more interested in her facebook page than helping customers. She acted like we were bothering her.

So, yes, I love going to the Texas Rock Gym. It's a GREAT workout: both mentally and physically. There are 2 things that I don't really like about the place: the smell (not sure if its from the shredded tires or perspiration or both) and the pricing is a little steep and confusing for a first time visitor. Always best... More

I've been climbing at TRG for the last two years since I moved to Houston. We usually go about twice a week. The people who work here are usually pretty chill. They like to remind you about safety which I appreciate, although some of the employees go about it more gracefully than others. They are open until 10 on every... More

I went to Texas Rock Gym a few times when my son became interested in Rock Climbing. He and his best friend enjoyed competing on the rocks, and I enjoyed learning how to Balay, and climbing a little as well. I think it was a confidence builder for the boys, there were various levels so they could get comfortable and... More
