If u r close by tye park, zoo, or museim, come by and check out this very modern looking building. Unfortunately, we came when there is jo exhibit so we just enjoyed this award winning architecture. It was nice pleasant quiet amd parking is easy. Hope u have better luck than us.

Such a gem. The Hindu deities exhibit was rich and interesting. I went with friends on a rainy Saturday. The building itself is significant-- beautiful, clean lines and lovely windows. Make sure to have a seat upstairs on the leather chairs and couches that face the fountain right outside. So pretty and relaxing.

The Asia Society is a quiet, beautiful museum and cultural center. I have enjoyed the exhibits there very much, particularly _Transcendant Deities of India_. The building itself is quite special and the staff is welcoming and well informed.

Beautiful architecture, and so many wonderful rooms in this new building. The auditorium is a comfortable and nice place for a lecture.

I truly love spending time here - mostly I've been for programming in the beautiful theater but they also have some nice art exhibitions too. It's fun to just walk around the space and take in the clean simple design and nice views of the neighborhood. They used to have a weekly meditation class that was so relaxing. I love... More

Love architecture? This is the place for you, with one of the most beautifully designed and serene buildings in Houston. Interested in Asian culture? The programming here is dynamite. I visited during a special exhibition (one is not always guaranteed to be on view during your visit) and found it quiet and nearly empty-- which allowed amazing access and intimate... More

Very pretty building, but not a whole lot to see. I recommend planning your visit around an event. I went to check out the facility and the gallery was very small. I think in total the visit took about 30 minutes.

You may not realize it, but the Asia Society of Houston is right in the Museum District--it's just not listed in many of the Museum District materials. Perhaps this is because they view themselves a center, not a museum, but I saw an absolutely splendid art exhibit there. Beautiful work, beautifully curated, in a gorgeous gallery setting. The whole building... More

My husband and I went for a lecture there one evening and followed up with a tour of this beautiful building. It serves as a fitting home for the Asia Society. We especially liked the vanishing pool on the second floor. We plan to take advantage of the monthly happy hours and the interesting lectures. Parking is easy across the... More

The new building is stunning. The Japanese architect Yoshio Taniguchi, known for his renovation of the MoMA in NYC, designed the space using extraordinary materials and craftsmanship. The various gardens located on the second floor provide an aesthetic twist. Even if there were no special exhibit, the byilding would be worth a tour. The small cafe has a very good... More
