Unbelievable Wonder

Its been almost ten years since I've been to the Dome. I will never forget it, was so enormous. I hope it is preserved in some way shape or form for generations to come!

Needs an update, has the classic round cement block look. Of the major stadiums in Houston this isn't the prettiest.

This dome has a special place in the hearts of all Houstonians, but it is years and years older than it should be. It's way past time to tear it down!

Really, Houston? Seriously? I'm disappointed in you. So. Very. Disappointed. Save the Astrodome! HISTORY MATTERS. It's not always about size and glamour and cutting edge modernity. Sometimes, preserving our history — and incorporating it into modern society is more important. That's the Astrodome. I saw the Astros play here when I was little. It was a BIG deal. The Astrodome... Great venue for sporting events and other fun activities. Unsure to what its future is. Given the opportunity, take a look, swing by, see what was once a very unique Houston building. I remember first seeing it in a 1970's movie called Bad News Bears.

Had the pleasure of visiting the dome twice, the first was as a teenager attending my first baseball game with my family in the 90s, none of us really knew what was going on, but it was a great experience of US life. Lasting memory was Jeff Baglow hitting a homer and the fire works kicking off. The second time... More

I loved going to the Astrodome as a kid...my parents had Astros season tickets and enjoyed going to all of the games. I remember going to Astroworld then walking over to the Astrodome to watch a game. Or vice versa. Also remember going to many rodeo concerts here.

Definitely a place for great memories with friends and family! I've seen many rodeos, Oilers games, Astros games, All-Star baseball and All-Star basketball games and concerts. Being dropped off as a kid and walking over the bridge to Astroworld and Waterworld is still like yesterday. The size of it from the outside was overpowering, and once inside... Wow! This place... Have attended baseball and football and rodeo there from the 70's. Was sad to see it closed down. As a kid going there it was always an awesome time. Seen the last astros game there. Oilers used to rock the house there.
