Entertainment for all ages. I always enjoy the landscaping and flowers. So many places to sit and just relax. The children's zoo is excellent. Children can get up close to pet the animals. The habitats make you feel like the animals aren't "caged". The elephant exhibit is very entertaining.

The Houston zoo is great & gets better every year. We love the mercats, cheetahs, tigers, etc. the displays are good. Parking is a problem if you don't arrive early.

The zoo is great but every expensive. Look for specials and free days when they have them. Lots of interesting animals and well maintained, easy to walk around.

Not many realize, but the Houston Zoo is no longer owned by the City of Houston and is its own not-for-profit. The City owns the land. And, as a result the Zoo is absolutely fun for all ages, educational, everchanging/improving and dynamic.

The Houston Zoo has gone and is going through many renovations. It is a great place to take the kids. It has lots of tall trees to shade the sun and the exhibits are cool as well. My daughter enjoyed being able to feed the giraffes! An additional plus is that they don't mind you bringing in snacks! Also, don't... More

I go to the zoo at least once a year and I'm never disappointed. The prices seem to go up every year but it's worth it. They are always building new exhibits. Go in the spring or fall. Summers in texas are extremely hot so most of the animals either stay inside or just lay around. Also walking through the... More

I take the grand children here at least four times a year, we all love the place. The zoo is constantly making improvements, which is so much better for both the humans and animals. The cools zones in the summer are a welcome relief. When going to the zoo be sure to time it so that you can feed the... More

We have visited the Houston Zoo many times. There is something for everyone. It is a very large zoo so be prepared to do a lot of walking. You can rent a stroller or a wagon for the kids but it is quite expensive ($11) and save your receipt if you want $1 back when you return it. The zoo... More

I enjoy the zoo each time I go, it is always a relaxing and enjoyable experience. Be prepared to stay 3 to 4 hours and if you have time take the train ride.
