We had a great time exploring the area... We hope to soon see the Gorilla's section as it is still under construction. The sea lion show was great but the microphone volume was too low. Overall a nice day out with the family!

There is nothing to disl;ike about the Houston Zoo. It is very animal friendly. Every year the habitats get better and better. There are exhibits where you can feed the animals. Such as the giraffee area where you can buy lettuce and feed them. My grandson loved that. There is a little get wet area for the hot days and... More

I love the larger habitat exhibits. The zoo is always a great day out, but go in the cooler months or suffer in Houston's high heat and humidity! Kids will love the train ride.

The Houston zoo is older and more established. Great place to let children run and watch great puppet shows and see all the animals.

Had great time even in the rain. The indoor/air conditioned exhibits were a nice relief from the heat and rain.

Decided to stop by here after a Carnival cruise...just something to do to kill time for a day. Well, we were very pleasantly surprised by this zoo! Old, beautiful trees everywhere! I really like how it was spaced out. When we arrived, we pulled out our annual zoo pass for our local zoo (El Paso) which gets us discounts to... More

Great value for money, great for kids, lots of attractions and above all great fun. Lots of variety and you can feed elephants and giraffes. If you want to do the feelings best check times in advance. We went on a Sunday and the car park was busy but finally got a spot close to the entrance. Not the biggest... More

This top rated zoo had changed dramatically for the better over the last 10 years, or so I am told. I have had the privilege of only knowing it in its current state. There are tons of staff members and volunteers to help you enjoy the animals. The Houston zoo features one of the largest bird collections in the United... More

Houston Zoo is a small, well planned and well maintained zoo with just enough animals to make it interesting. We saw reviews that suggested 3 hours was enough, and indeed it was just about right. Its not the best zoo I have been to, but its certainly very good. There were no displays with any wow factor, but the new... More

Zoo had a few of each animal but had typical variety for any zoo. Bring swimsuits and flip flops for sprinkler play area for toddlers. Nice way to cool down from Houston heat. Sponge bob show was pricey $5 each person for a 5minute 4D show but it was fun. Unfortunately many concession stands were closed on the weekday and... More
