This little old house place exceeded our expectations. Local performers do their gigs here but they are so professional that you will think that you are in one of those important world opera houses, we were very satisfied with the performances of these young people and with no doubt recommend it to anyone if staying in Houston, better prices than... I've been to several OH performances and enjoyed them all. The performers are all quite young (20's and early 30s) but very professional and skilled. I typically sit in the balcony, where seats are about $30, and was told the seat furthest from the stage at an OH production is closer than the closest-to-the-stage seats the Houston Grand Opera.

Don Giovanni Feb 2, 2014 2pm was most enjoyable. Orchestra, vocals, and performance as a whole was filled with talent. Maestro Enrique Carreon-Robledo is Artistic Director / Conductor is amazing and I certainly received a value for the $59 I paid. I look forward to attending Opera in the Heights again. From what I saw as a ticket holder on... More

We saw Don Pasquale on a Saturday evening. The opera was excellent. It started at 7:30 and finished at 10:15. The venue and stage setting are modest but the orchestra, conductor, and cast were great. We sat on the side near the orchestra, originally in row D but we moved back to row F so all in our group could... More

We saw La Traviata here which was fantastic. Very small, old theater so all the seats are good with the exception of the seats that face the orchestra (there is no pit, so the orchestra is right next to the stage). If you come in the summer, bring a bottle of water or two. It can get pretty warm. There... More

Saw Macbeth here on my first outing. Thought it was superb. I sat in the last row in the balcony ... the seat was perfect. Will return in April for Falstaff. Logistically, attending Opera in the Heights is a great experience. First of all, the locale is a pleasure. Beautiful Heights Boulevard. Historic Lambert Hall. A pleasure to be at... More

I took my mom here for a performance last Dec, as she is an opera buff and I wanted to do something different. Lambert Hall is very small and we sat in the last row for $25 a seat. The views were great (really, we were in the last row and it felt like we were extremely close to the... More

Opera in the Heights is in the former social hall of a church on Heights Boulevard in Houston, Texas. The performers are of the highest quality, performing with the simple sets that were intended before Grand Opera swallowed up the genre and the prices are so reasonable (yes with discounts for seniors) that one can easily enjoy opera without feeling... Opera in the Heights is an energetic, young opera company that PERFORMS in Lambert Hall, located in The Heights area of Houston. It is NOT a hotel and should not be listed as a PROPERTY!! That aside, and hopefully with correction by staff at Trip Advisor, I recommend this to people who enjoy seeing and hearing young men and women... More
