My first visit. Line for food was 15 min long -- too long to place an order, but it was worth the wait. Caesar salad with grilled chicken was excellent. Wine was good too. Select your own seat; side table for food and drink. Very comfortable seats. Reasonable prices.

This theater is right downtown and accessible through the theater district parking garages. They serve beer and wine (and some food), and you can take your drinks with you into the theater. It's also nice to pre-book your seats ahead of time.

It offers indie films along with large studio movies on multiple screens, so there are plenty of options. The chairs were comfortable with side tables available, so dining and drinking were easy. No walk around or table service, so be sure to grab what you need before heading to your seats.

This was our first visit to this theater Comfy seats, clean restrooms, not much variety at the concessions stand. Valet parking was a plus

Food was not very good, and of course the drinks and prices are high....other options outside of downtown are better.... went there for a matinee star wars in 3d...and it was an OK experience, not great...sense was the place was a bit run down and understaffed...met some family who drove in, while I walked in after work.....my experience was painless,... Small venue with beverage and food options. We made a late night visit and shared a bottle of wine. Fun evening with the girls to see Sisters. Comfortable seats. Nice downtown location.

1/8/2016 My husband and I decided to venture to Downtown Houston to watch a movie. I selected the Sundance Cinema because it is seems to be geared to adults and not young kids. It is located on Travis Street and this was our first time. First, We drove around twice and we were going to valet but I decided to... More

We love this place but over Christmas it's a zoo. Very crowded and they run out of many things at the concessions. If you are short (I'm 5'), do not take the 2 seats just above the entrance at the big theaters (#8). I had to lean forward to read anything at the bottom of the screen because of the... More

Great experience but a bit crowded. If you're going to go see a big blockbuster go to a larger theater. Wait and see the independent films or movies that have been out for a while so you can enjoy a quiet movie experience at Sundance. Food and drinks were awesome!

This place was much better as the Angelika. They serve food that is pretty mediocre in a lobby cafe. To me it just seems like any old movie theatre. They do still show some indie films, which is a plus.
