This is a pretty cool place but it really only deserves 3 stars. It would get 4 stars if the food was better. It would have gotten 5 if they hadn't double booked our seats. This is the former Angelika theater downtown by Hobby Center. It's been redone and is part of the Sundance Enterprise founded by none other than... More

This cinema is really clean and it's very pleasing to the eye. The seats are also very comfortable & I love how you choose your seats unlike other places.

Seen Ex Machina at this theatre. This movie threatre is cool because it has a small bar and restaurant when you first enter. You can take your drinks to your assigned seating and there are nice arm rests and cup holders. Its really clean, nice, staff is friendly.

The theater district in downtown Houston is home to a number of great venues such as the Alley Theater and Theater Under the Stars at the Hobby Center. The Sundance Cinema adds another element into the mix, located at the Bayou Place center which was formerly the Angelika Film Center. They do refund you for parking (just have your ticket)... More

When there is nothing to do there is always something intresting to watch in Sundance Cinema. From forgien films to big block busters there is always something that might catch your eye. The parking is $10, but they refund them to you if you show them your garage ticket. Concessions are a little pricy, but I think it's always better... More

Really cool spot to see a movie. Good food other than just popcorn. Seats very comfy Gotta like a theater you can bring your own wine to

One of my favorite movie theatres in town, but I must confess that the structure is not so good. they could replace some chairs and also upgrade screens technology. Bar prices are high. Staff is super friendly.

We go to Sundance 3-4 times a year for date nights. It's a great concept but could use a few improvements. The website to start is not intuitive or user friendly. Being able to select seats though is a great feature. The $7 garage parking is validated which is good as long as there isn't a theater event going on.... More

I love the fact that you can choose your seat, enjoy food/drink while you're watching the movie, and you get reimbursed for parking. :-) Not a lot of kids that attend movies here, and the audience is polite, i.e., not talking or using cell phones during the movie. Decent selection of wine/beer, popcorn has real butter!
