First time to be here was in 2008, and it didn't strike me as such a great place to visit. This time, 5 years later, I had the opportunity to stroll around the place at a more leisurely pace since I timed my visit when the business schedule of my Houston sojourn was at its nadir. And believe me, leisurely... More

On a great day in Houston, Rice Village is a fun place to walk around and enjoy great local merchants. Several square blocks with great shopping and places to eat. Find unique items as well as many of the standard mall retail shops in this great outdoor shopping district. Some of my favorites are J.Silver for jewelry, the Chocolate Shop... More

A nice change from the mega malls, and a great way to stretch your legs and get over jetlag; small town feel!

This place is great for shopping because it includes chain stores (Gap, Anne Taylor, Victoria's Secret), mid-range boutiques (Langford Market, Mint) and high end boutiques. There is also a bookstore, dessert places (The Chocolate Bar is my favorite!) and restaurants. A great place to spend an afternoon of retail therapy!

Reminds me of Little Five Points in Atlanta meets Georgetown in D.C. The trendy shops next to the big chains. The trendy shops make it worth going back especially for ladies. Men's clothing was definitely an afterthought of the area.

Lots of cute little shops and cafes. Relaxing and safe atmosphere. Parking a bit limited at busy times.

Lots of large and small shops in Rice Village. Parking can be a real problem at peak times.

You will be amazed at the variety of languages you hear here. Unique gift and clothes shops, a wonderful chocolate dessert place with occasional swing dancers, bead shops, import shops and 2nd hand books are within 3 blocks of pretty Rice University. Best restaurants are French Cafe Rebalais, Turkish Istanbul Grill, Irish Baker St Pub, Spanish Mi Luna, and small... More
